COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our India Pale Ale (I.P.A.) is a delicious take on an English classic. Brewed using an English hop variety called Fuggles, which produce a pleasant soft woody, earthy and floral aroma in the beer. The beer is balanced with a medium hop bitterness that compliments the medium depth of the malt base.

From rigger at Fresh Choice Takaka. I’m amazed by the colour, just the most lustrous brassy orange with a creamy white head that endured. Aromas of crystal malt, oranges, apricots and some herbal hop. All were present in the flavour that was golden and gorgeous. Is this an IPA though? Seems a little out of style, but what a sweety. Even Mrs Jimthechap was reaching over for sips.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, and malt. The aroma has notes of malt, hops, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish. Boring.

Nice looking beer, nice lacing. Aroma is low malt and medium kiwi hops, maybe sticklebract, only a trace of the fuggles promised, could be NZ fuggles i suppose. Nice subtle crystal malt character in the flavour. Harsh bitterness, astringent finish. Not too bad but not what I was hoping for.

1.5l bottle. Pours hazelnut amber with a creamy off white head. Nose is nutty hops with some dough. Taste is grape, lemons, some stonefruit, decent IPA

On tap @ Sprig & Fern, Nelson. The aroma has aprokots, some bubblegum. Clear, golden-copper coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is slightly bitter, fruity, bit veggie. Could use more bitterness imo.
