Bit maltiness, intense grainy, corn, some grassy hops, unpleasantly low carbonation reveals low quality brew. Way too thin and watery, only surprise was well hidden ABV. Sweetish with some bitterness in finish. Not disaster, thou.. no more pls

Kita (1121) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JAN 6, 2014
Canned, 0.50l. Clear deep golden color with large frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of malt, maybe mild caramel, grassy hops and some citrus notes. Moderate sweet malty taste with fresh and sour grassy following, crisp and dry mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Light to medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. For the sake of higher alcohol volume, this beer tends to be bolder than ordinary pale lagers...

Bottle. Sweet malty beer with some clear traces of grassy hops. In this case being more on the watery side would suit the beer better.

Bottle, witha German label, as Tatra Bier. Actually, I didn’t think this was too bad at all. Certainly more of a Pilsener, it has a nice crisp aroma of Saaz, and also the flavour, with that grassy, metallic - very metallic - bite. Crisp and golden, it is refreshing and rather less sweet and more complex than most ordinary pale lagers I have had. I know Poland does great beers, but particularly for this one I was not expecting much.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with almost no head. Aroma of corn, grains and cotton candy. Taste is light bitter with a hint of sweetness Corn and grains with a weird herbal/chemical taste. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long, chemical-tasting texture. Overall, meh. Would be a decent pale lager except for all the drain-o taste.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a pale golden beer with a malty and grassy flavour, caramel notes and a sweet fruity and vanilla finish.

Clear gold with fluffy head. Malts, some grass. Not very sweet, medium bitter with a slight tart touch.Touch bitter aftertaste, with a slightly metallic touch that gets worse after a while. There’s more taste then regular pilsners, but that taste is not very good unfortunately.

500ml can: now available in the UK with English writting on the can, labelled as ’TATRA Beer’. This can was bought for me by my father from one of the many Polish shops in Boston, Lincolnshire: I drank it at his house on 10th Nov 2013. It looked the same as almost every other Pilsner/lager we all know and love: golden, clear and bright. The usual none staying snow white head that swiftly retreats into a wisp and collar was another feature I was expecting: I wasn’t disappointed either. Slight malt/grain aroma (gets my usual 3 for a non-smelling Pilsner/lager). Taste wise it was a refreshing blend of semi-flavours: mildly malty with an undercurrent of hop bitterness. Nothing to pontificate about and nothing to set it apart from the hundreds (or thousands) of similar lager based brews from around the world. Mr Average in every way.
