2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
[9/20/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Bottle at the venue in Trzebiel, Poland. Aroma of a bit of noble hops and light malty notes. Flavor is quite dry with light sweetness, grainy notes and some bitterness with a bit of hops and faint metallic notes. Light-bodied. Drinkable.

500 ml can, thanks to my son Steinar (bought in Krakow). ABV is 6.0%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, big to moderate white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of "banana" candy, hints of flowers and new-mown grass. Moderate carbonation in the glass. Medium sweet flavour of malt sugar and candy, decent hops in the finish. Not a beer I’d buy again, but drinkable.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Smells fine, looks good. Initial flavor is light and sweet, but as it goes, it seems that the alcohol becomes more prevalent. A dry alcoholic finish is not too tasty.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma is very true to type with grainy malt and grassy almost herbal hops. The appearance is pale gold with an average head. The taste is also true to type and matches the aroma almost exactly. The aftertaste is clean. The palate is thin but OK for the style. Overall it’s a pretty average beer but not "Beer With Character."

Flat looking lager with a very sweet aroma and a strongly bitter flavour with quite a chemical feel. Still drinkable but overall quite poor.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
50cl can, 6% ABV. Amber with a rapidly fading white head; sweet malt aroma; honeyed flavour, smooth and syrupy in the mouth without being oversweet; some bitter hops develop but giving a cardboard taste and feel; the finish being sticky and sweet. Different and drinkable, but not memorable.
