A distinctively flavoured beer with a clean, crisp taste. Taybeh (tai-bey) in Arabic means "delicious." The fresh, flavourful alternative to imported beers.
This beer is also brewed for export at Strubbe in Belgium.

[On tour with svoger, svogergylp and adenila.] Bought in Berlin. Country-beer #95. Another pilsner from middle-east, which I had expects for could be great after a long bikeride, but it all flew out of my mouth with all those nonhoppy notes. Only caramel, straw and brown rusty metal.

Pale gold with a thick, lasting, frothy, lacy, sticky head. Smells of stale malt, corn, and club soda. Forced carbonation? Medium frothy body. Thin light taste of corn with pale malt and a bitter grass finish. Forced carbonation or at least feels that way. Bitter.

Bottle 330ml. Clear light yellow with big white head. Aroma of corn sugar, floral, a bit skunky. Sweetish malty flavor, notes of honey, floral. Light body. Watery. Lively carbonation.

Clear yellow with small lacing white foam head. Aroma is barley. Tastes quite sweet for an ale, likewise aftertaste. Disappointing. (Kemmel 201407)

I believe this is Taybeh’s flagship beer, a respectable golden ale that drinks more like a lager. Easy to find on draft and bottled throughout Jerusalem, usually the only micro-brew available. Pours a full golden color with good head and lacing. Aroma is plain but fresh, malty with cereal grain and some noble hop accents. Taste is good but a little weaker than Taybeh’s other brews, pale malt with hoppy bitterness. The bitterness is firm yet well balanced, more substance than average pale lagers. Very smooth and enjoyable texture, but then the finish is a bit unpleasant, sticks around with a funky bready aftertaste. Better if you let it warm up a bit and not drink ice cold as it is commonly served here. On the whole, this is a decent drinkable beer, although Taybeh’s other offerings are recommended over this one.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht fruchtig süß, hopfig, malzig. Geschmack leicht fruchtig hopfig, bitter, muffig, säuerlich.

Fint utseende. Skuffende og tam smak. Munnfølelsen er mildt sagt ikke tilstedeværende.

Zarkam (400) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 5, 2014
Based on notes from 040314. 330ml bottle from somewhere in Betlehem, Clear sparkling medium yellow hue, small mostly vanishing frothy white head, fair lacing. Aroma of moderate malts with notes of white bread, cereal, caramel and peach, moderate perfumy hops. Taste is initially light bittersweet and moderately acidic, turning into a moderately bitter finish with an astringent feel. Light to medium body, dry texture, lively carbonation. Was expecting nothing interesting but surprised positively, somewhat kölsch-like actually and even somewhat complex yet refreshing at the same time.
