thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 27, 2008 On tap at The Assembly, this brew poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent softly carbonated copper colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was thin with mild malty notes. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish. The flavor contained notes of hops malt and a mild sweet rust note. Ughsmash (3085), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA May 28, 2008 On tap at Taylor Brewing. Poured clear, medium caramelly-amber with a nice, creamy cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet darker fruit and caramel notes with faint highlights of lemon and peppery spicage.. sweet and engaging. The flavor was sweet, again with caramel and darker fruits.. joined by light bitterness that was herbal and earthy in nature.. well-balanced.. somewhat simple, but tasty. Sweet overall on the palate with a creamy feel to it.. higher carbonation worked well here.. very drinkable. Walt (2288), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 15, 2008 Pour is clear golden amber with a thin white head...faintly sweet malty nose...taste is lightly sweet and grainy...thin... ElGaucho (1721), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Nov 11, 2006 The best beer in their 6-beer sampler. After the O’fest, this has some refreshing hop character. However, it tastes hoppier than it really is following the o’fest. After several sips, the hop profile subsides. No aroma to speak of. Compared to the o-fest this is more of a reddish amber where that is more of a yellowish amber. This beer has some visible carbonation. Nice creamy, off-white head. Excellent lace! One thing I have to say about Taylor’s brews is that they feature great lace. Decent brew with a subtle hop profile. NachlamSie (1387), Tennessee, USA Aug 15, 2006 Draught during my Great Lakes region brew tour. Light, cloudy amber pour with a small head. Caramel and acidic plasticity in the nose and also some citrus notes. I found the flavor to be much cleaner. It’s semi-sticky with a hint of grassy hops. This would make an acceptable session beer, but certainly nothing more.
