3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2006 On tap @ Brew Kettle: Med. clear amber w/ a lasting off white head. Woody & earthy hop, as well as a little grassy. Low bready malt & fruitiness. More woody hops seem to arise as it warms. Moderate bitterness balance, but pleasant. Hop flavor is dominant, but only lightly citrusy. Light caramel flavor and toasty malt; bitter finish & aftertaste. Very little fruitiness; aftertaste is woody hop. higher carbonation, biting at first, but smoothes out after it sits in the mouth; medium body w/ a dry m/f. I would put this up against any American Pale ale out there. Very easy drinking and flavorful, and it wonít kill your palate.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at TBK. Pours an orange color with a bit of a white head. Lacing falls with the beer. The taste is malty but bitter. Not a ton of hop flavor but it is in the aroma.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Brew Kettle. Pours amber color with off white head. Aroma is citrus and pine. Medium mouthfeel. Flavors come together nicely to produce a hoppy pale. Pine, grapefruit, some rind, and a touch more pine lead to a bitter finish that is pretty darn good to beat.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. This beer pours a nice copper color with a lazing offwhite head that will slowly fade to almost nothing. The aroma is the real winning aspect of this beer. Lots of juicy citrus hops with a bit of sweet doughy caramel malt to back it up. Just very fresh smelling. The flavor is less dimensional as far as the hops go. Their presence is more for bittering than for flavor. The juicy citrus notes from the nose just donít carry through the flavor very well. Regardless, it is a solid bitter APA with a descent malt profile backing it. It feel great on the palate, a full medium body with minimal carbonation. Smooth and coating. Overall: a solid beer. Would love to try it on tap at the brew house to see how it compares.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a light amber with just a slight head that quickly gives way without much lacing. Typical piney hops aroma chacteristic of the "Four cís". Nothing special but a good, solid IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to JaBier for giving me this bottle from his recent trip up to Cleveland. It was enjoyable.
I feel like the concept of IPA continues to evolve here in America...what was great 5 years ago may only be good today. And among a super strong crop of American IPAs, I feel like this one is a nice middle-ground of the above average. Call it the 75th percentile of IPAs, which is no small feat these days. Pours a nice coppery-gold color with a ton of well-formed, durable frothy white head. Aroma is definitely hoppy (the Cascade seemed to dominate IMO - but I am a hops lay-man), and was nicely floral and citrusy. Body had some light malt structure with some decent hoppiness. This beer is nicely balanced and would make a great session ale.
I would recommend this beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to my Secret Santa Pours a cloudy amber with a thin light tan head. The head fades with average speed and leaves spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light but I get floral, light lemon citrus, some caramel malt, and a little evergreen. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good starts hoppy and has a malty finish. Has a light to medium body. The texture is slick. Has a good finish with a decent aftertaste. A decent beer that runs both ends of the table hoppy and malty. Refreshing and easy drinking.

Ohio Brew Week. Pours a light coppery color with a small off white head. Aroma is floral hops, grapefruit, caramel. Flavor is grapefruit, piney, citrus, floral hops. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes bitter. Not real great balance here, hoppy as all get out, but not real good overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Oakroom, left over from Ohio Brew Week. Light copper in color, with a thin creamy head. Very hopy aroma, almost IPA intensity. Medium body. Finishes a bit sour. Despite marketing this as a pale ale, it is closer to an IPA.

Sampled today at the Brew Kettle. Aroma was very hoppy. Flavor was only slightly malty, but was mostly citrus, toast and HOPS.
