Tap sample. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted and good lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet bourbon, chocolate and vanilla wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout brew.

Aroma: Coffee and chocolate aromas, nice and rich. Appearance: Black with minimal head Palate: Medium sweetness backed by a light bitterness. A bit overwhelming. Taste: Full body, rich oily texture, minimal carbonation, long finish. Overall: Very rich. The bourbon is readily apparent. It’s solid, but overwhelming at points.

complex, a reddish brown appearance and lacy. Big bitter. Coconut from the barrel,. An IPA 60 level of hoppiness. Interesting characteristics that do not come together to offer good drinkability. Good aroma. A little disappointed.

Bottle. Pours black with a very thick creamy brown head that laces very thickly. Aroma has a strong roasted malt note with some semi sweet chocolate and a bit of backing bourbon. Flavor began with semi sweet chocolate that was joined by strong roasted malts and a bit of bourbon coming out in the finish. Incredibly smooth beer.

Thanks to crizay for the share. Pours brown with a tan head. Nose is bourbon, slight vanilla, alcohol, and chocolate with a hint of smoke and dark fruit. Flavor is similar with slight earth, in the finish. Medium bodied and very drinkable.

Bomber courtesy of crizay. Bomber pours deep darkness with mocha head. The aroma is dark chocolate brownie, caramel, molasses, spicy oak, some sweet vanilla and a touch of heat at the end of the draw. The taste is smooth caramel, black strap molasses, chocolate brownie, smooth sweet vanilla, spicy oak and then some bitter pine hops into the finish. Good stuff here.
