This poured an amber color with a fluffly white head. Aroma was grainy, sweet malts and not much else. Flavor was sweet, chewy, some rye notes and some grass as well. Not too great.

Poured a hazed gold color. The aroma had a decent nose citrus hops with some spicy rye. Citrus flavor and bready sweet malt. Spicy finish. Light-medium body.

I like rye beers and I like the Brew Kettle both quite a bit, so ordering this beer was an obvious choice for me. And it was not as good as say a Red’s Rye, but it was still pretty tasty. It offered the slightly "scratchy" mouthfeel I associate with Rye beers, a rye flavor, and some nice hop notes that I also tend to find in rye beers. Appearance was not so special - a little less color than I might have expected, but a brilliantly clear body with a medium amount of head. Aroma was rye and hops. Flavor as noted above. Mouthfeel a touch thin. Not the best rye-beer I have ever had, but recommendable nonetheless. I had this on tap at the Brew Kettle in Strongsville.

Draft sample at Brew Kettle. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate rye & citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Bottle shared by goldtwins. Pours a clear golden orange with a thin linen white head. Pleasant aroma of rye, caramel, citrus, and a bit of brown sugar. The flavor is lightly sweet with rye and caramel up front followed by some strong hops bitterness. The bitterness very much overshadows the malt, and lingers briefly after the swallow.

Thanks to goldtwins for sharing - hazy copper beer, with the faint wisp of a head - the rye is a lot more apparent in the aroma than I expected, but a strong hop presence keeps it from being overpowering - a little bit of buttery, bready character in the aroma as well - some floral notes up front, but mostly strong bitter hops throughout, with rye poking through at the start and finish - malt sweetness doesn’t quite balance it out, as it stays strongly bitter, but it’s a mighty tasty bitterness - one-dimensional, but good.

Bottle. Aroma of rye bread, light citrus, rye seed, light cracker, more and more citrus as warms. Flavor somewhat dominated by the citrus hops with the rye becoming more generalized malt backbone, but still tasty. Sharp carbonation and a nice bitter finish. Good stuff.

Bottle shared by goldtwins. Pours orange with a small tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus hops and some rye. Initially this beer is a bit harsh with an odd alcohol/rye combo, but it gets better as it warms and the hops come out a little. Bitter finish with some wheat cracker. Smells better than it tastes. I’d like more rye though. Ok-ish beer, but it just doesn’t seem well-constructed.
