Our mild American ale is a great accompaniment to spicy and BBQ fare. One of our most popular offerings.

Dry for the style but a nice head and lacing. Plenty of Malty aromas and tastes but less on the hops side..

dark red with frothy white head, nice appearing brew. some grassy hops to the nose. mild bitterness followed by a lot of lot crystal sweetness. some west coast hops come through just with a bit of flavor, mostly grassy and floral. dry finish, maybe some english yeast esters involved. not a traditional west coast amber, more of a cross with an irish ale. decent brew

A touch of caramel aroma starts this beer off. It pours a clear reddish-amber, with a finger of white head. Easy drinking beer, biscuity malts and caramel finish. Nothing outstanding about this beer, but very easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium white head. Aroma is malty and nutty. Flavor is quite nutty with a slightly hoppy finish. Nothing too interesting or unique, but solid and tasty. Great mouthfeel.

Tap @TBK. Pours a clear reddish copper body with a small wispy off-white head. Slightly grainy malt nose, fairly light, with zero hops. The flavor is a little thin and light but I suppose that’s the nature of the style. Toasty and grainy but no flaws noted. Lighter bodied and a little husky and grainy with fizzy carbonation. A run of the mill Red Ale, but again, certainly drinkable.

Sampled at The Brew Kettle. Poured a dark brick color with lots of sweet caramel and toffe coming out of it.Flavor was full on caramel and toffee with a small hop presence.

Sampled today at the Brew Kettle. Nice clear amber pour. Sweet aromas of bread and caramel. Flavor was mildly sweet, sugar, bread, with just a HINT of hops on the end. This was actually my favorite of the group. VERY drinkable. And as I prefer malts this one was right up my alley.

7/12/2009: Copperhead Red is an impressive shiny amber beer that has a really nice caramel and brown sugar aroma and flavor. It is chewy and flavorful without being overly thick or heavy. It has a medium-body with a faint, smooth, and is topped with a fading off-white head. This is a very good and unique amber ale.

Sample (draught) at the Red Brick Sports Pub in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2009. Rating #25 for this beer.

Bottle. Overall a nice red with good solid malty flavors and a nice mild hop balance. Body is not too thin.
