A big bold Imperial IPA! The clean malt plays a supporting roll to the straight up Simcoe hops through and through that give this varietal hop bomb its bang!

Rating from very old notes - Pours cooper with a small lasting head. Citrus hop aroma. The flavor is straight up bitter with some citrus and herbal tones. It’s medium to full bodied and a very solid brew.

A good example of an ever-expanding segment of American ales, this Imperial IPA uses a complex and flavorful hop (simcoe) and puts it on a pedestal. You get varying degrees of citrus, grapefruit, and tart green apple, complemented by toast and caramel from the malts, and the implied imperial levels of alcohol. I just wish for a touch more malt sweetness to balance out both the mouthfeel and flavor profile. Simcoe is a great, but left unchecked, it can overpower a beer. A good beer with a great hop, definitely drinkable, and hop aficionados will love it.

12 oz. bottle from my Secret Santa, umich03jm. Thanks man! Pours a hazed orang color with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, mild herbal and fruity notes. Mild gum ball sweetness. Some mild lemon and earthy notes. Flavor is medium bitterness, high hop flavor, fruity and candy sweetness. Medium bodied with average carbonation, finishes fruity with a touch of bitterness. Very nice, well done.

12oz bottle extra thanks to michcam8, thanks man! Poured out the Candi-Man so this should clean the palate, pours a hazy orange with a thick off white head with lots of lacing in the glass, aroma has a good kick of hops with a sweetness of malt at the same time, not over the top hoppy, the flavor has a sweeter than expected front end with a dry and fruity finish, not overly bitter but smooth through out, not bad at all, abv is well hidden, nice.

Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a large foamy white head. Aroma of orangey hops, tropical fruits and sweet malts. Flavor of piney and orange hops, almost getting a Christmas spice out of it for some reason. Nice clean maltiness. Aggressive yet smooth hop bitterness. Finishes dry. Well done.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with. Little head. Nose is full of orange and grapefruit. Flavor us the same with a moderately thick malt backbone. A moderate alcohol warming but not a hot fusel burn. Pretty good. ---Rated via intercellular device

Bottle:   Bright amber, moderate foamy sandy head, fairly nice lacing.   Big citrus peel and pith nose, slightly candied.   Similar on the tongue, a bit more sweet than the nose suggested.   Not a hop bomb, nor a malt bomb, nice citrusy background that is a bit candied and sweet.   Hides the 9% ABV really well.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Strong sweet tea leaf on the backside, along with citrus peel and pith, a bit candied.   Not your average overly hopped IIPA, nor super malty, seems perhaps a 1˝ IPA, but a good one at that.

Bottle from Save On. Copper orange with lasting flat head and lace. Fruity old wooden furniture and caramel apple aroma. Medium sweet toffee fruity with medium assertive woody piney resiny lingering bitter hop finish. Pretty standard. Balanced. Drinkable.

Nearly clear amber, with a short, quick, off-white head. Cedar/Pine aroma. Taste is spicy, bready, orange-sweet over herbal/leafy bitter. Ok, but mild for an Imperial.
