Source: Tasting, Pre-RBSG
clear dark gold, wispy beige head that can be roused into producing some drippy lace,
huge sweet pine aroma,
lots of sweet piney hop flavor, lots of bitterness leading to a long bitter finish,
good flavor but overdone on the bitterness,
Score: 3.2 to 3.4
crystal clear dark gold, fine dirty white head,
sweet caramel and pine aroma,
big sweet malt flavor, pine character melds well with the caramel, light bitterness in the finish provides good balance for the sweetness, lingering alcohol fumes,
much less bitter than the bottle allows the pine and caramel to stay in the front
Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 13/20

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from bittermestupid. Thanks Greg. Pours light amber with a foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is lots of resin. Full bodied. Flavor is heavy resin over light roast caramel. Like super hoppy barley wine. It finishes on the bitter side with smooth hints of brown sugar. Wonderful.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle… Clear golden ale with a small, big-bubbled, white head. Heaps of earthy, musky, cat-pissy hops in this bad boy. I’m thinking Simcoe, but I’ve been wrong before. Full-bodied and oily with moderate carbonation. Toffee and praline sweetness is evident, but heavy, earthy hop bitterness is the star of this show. Finishes bittersweet, raspy and dry. Thanks to cmillward for sharing the bottle!
