Pretty solid porter. Pours translucent brown, moderate head. Moderate body that is very drinkable but heavy enough to hold the flavors. Roasty, nutty, some chocolate and a relatively light finish. Overall pretty good and a good example of the style.

12 oz. bottle via trade with bittermestupid - Pours a dark brown color with a 3/4 finger thick light tan tasting. Very light lacing. Aroma and flavor is toasted malt and light chocolate. Medium body. Nothing fancy, just a nice drinkable Porter. Thanks Greg.

Served from a 12 oz bottle from Hyde Park Wine and Spirits. The appearance is a cola brown with a small tan head. The flavors and aromas are similar with a mild roast malt, and light doses of chocolate and floral coffee. Mild carbonation in the mouth, not too creamy. A run of the mill porter.

Pours dark cola brown with a disappearing tan head. The aroma is nice with some roasted malt, cocoa powder, toast and a nice balancing lactic sweetness. The flavor is sweet and a bit thin up front with some cola and cocoa powder followed by a more robust roasted malt character. Pretty simple, but tasty. It comes alive more in the finish with some coffee and chocolate. I enjoyed this one.

Lots of cocoa and toast in this. Very rich porter. There is a bit of bitterness in the finish, but it is definitely a malt driven beer.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a small 1 finger dense tan head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some slight spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, biscuit, roasted nut, cola, and herbal hops. Nice and well balanced standard porter aromas. Taste of caramel, chocolate, toffee, roasted malt, biscuit, roasted nut, coffee, and herbal hops. Light bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and roasted nut on the finish for a bit. Nicely balanced and blended flavor profile. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Very easy to drink; with hardly any alcohol warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice and very enjoyable porter. Nice robust flavors and good balance.

Bottle - thanks Greg! Extremely dark pour with a creamy head. Nice roasty nose. Good bold palate for the style. Taste is terrific - chocolate, coffee, roastiness - this is really good stuff.

12oz bottle. Thin tan head that quickly and audibly fades to minimal / nothing. Bubbles on the side of the glass. Dark brown color. Good, lighter crisp carbonation. Dry texture. Nice roasty chocolate malt aromas. Some coffee. Nice bitter and sweet taste. Good to enjoy with a little late-night pound cake.
