12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a small 1 finger dense tan head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some slight spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, biscuit, roasted nut, cola, and herbal hops. Nice and well balanced standard porter aromas. Taste of caramel, chocolate, toffee, roasted malt, biscuit, roasted nut, coffee, and herbal hops. Light bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and roasted nut on the finish for a bit. Nicely balanced and blended flavor profile. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Very easy to drink; with hardly any alcohol warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice and very enjoyable porter. Nice robust flavors and good balance.

Bottle - thanks Greg! Extremely dark pour with a creamy head. Nice roasty nose. Good bold palate for the style. Taste is terrific - chocolate, coffee, roastiness - this is really good stuff.

12oz bottle. Thin tan head that quickly and audibly fades to minimal / nothing. Bubbles on the side of the glass. Dark brown color. Good, lighter crisp carbonation. Dry texture. Nice roasty chocolate malt aromas. Some coffee. Nice bitter and sweet taste. Good to enjoy with a little late-night pound cake.

Bomber. Poured clear, deep garnety brown with a creamy beige head.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up sweet chocolates, coffee, molasses, and vanilla.. some ashy & smoky roast too.. a little on the sweet side, but I really enjoyed it. The flavor found coffee, cocoa, and burnt black patent malts at the core.. light malty sourness and more roast around.. picked up the slightest buttery touch on the finish, but that didn’t really detract from my enjoyment. Medium-bodied at most on the palate.. very dry.. flowed fairly well.. overall this was a really good beer.

Bomber via trade. Clear dark brown in color with a small light tan head leaving swirls. Very nice aroma, roasty with dark chocolate and a bit of toffee. The flavor is also nice, starting with roast and char and some dark chocolate. Finishes a little watery. Drying mouthfeel with medium-light body and soft carbonation. Good porter, but it would be better if the mouthfeel were amped up a bit.

JStax (3233) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Poured from a bomber into a snifter. Appearance is black with a thin ring of khaki colored foam around the edge of the glass with just a cloud of foam on top of the beer. Aroma is dark chocolate and coffee with some notes of nuts and cinnamon. Taste is dark chocolate and cinnamon at first but then moves more to a coffee and creme taste and then diminishing with a slightly bitter nutty finish.

Tasted 7/8/11. 22oz bomber. Thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Pours filtered with a brown hue. Khaki head. Aromas of toffee and dark chocolate with a mild flare of alcohol, backed up with a subtle coffee note. Full bodied with a malt dominant palate and a mild effervescence. Fudgy and silky with a deep dark roast. Nutty flavors with a dark chocolate sweetness and a good coffee bitterness. Good body with a pleasant warming aspect. Solid stuff!

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Dublin/Columbus, OH. Pours a clear very dark ruby color with a thin fizzy tan head that fades quickly. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, light roast and mild nutty notes. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, bitter coffee, nutty notes, caramel and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Well balanced. Nice beer.
