Bomber. Poured clear, deep garnety brown with a creamy beige head.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up sweet chocolates, coffee, molasses, and vanilla.. some ashy & smoky roast too.. a little on the sweet side, but I really enjoyed it. The flavor found coffee, cocoa, and burnt black patent malts at the core.. light malty sourness and more roast around.. picked up the slightest buttery touch on the finish, but that didn’t really detract from my enjoyment. Medium-bodied at most on the palate.. very dry.. flowed fairly well.. overall this was a really good beer.

Bomber via trade. Clear dark brown in color with a small light tan head leaving swirls. Very nice aroma, roasty with dark chocolate and a bit of toffee. The flavor is also nice, starting with roast and char and some dark chocolate. Finishes a little watery. Drying mouthfeel with medium-light body and soft carbonation. Good porter, but it would be better if the mouthfeel were amped up a bit.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter. Appearance is black with a thin ring of khaki colored foam around the edge of the glass with just a cloud of foam on top of the beer. Aroma is dark chocolate and coffee with some notes of nuts and cinnamon. Taste is dark chocolate and cinnamon at first but then moves more to a coffee and creme taste and then diminishing with a slightly bitter nutty finish.

Tasted 7/8/11. 22oz bomber. Thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Pours filtered with a brown hue. Khaki head. Aromas of toffee and dark chocolate with a mild flare of alcohol, backed up with a subtle coffee note. Full bodied with a malt dominant palate and a mild effervescence. Fudgy and silky with a deep dark roast. Nutty flavors with a dark chocolate sweetness and a good coffee bitterness. Good body with a pleasant warming aspect. Solid stuff!

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Dublin/Columbus, OH. Pours a clear very dark ruby color with a thin fizzy tan head that fades quickly. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, light roast and mild nutty notes. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, bitter coffee, nutty notes, caramel and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Well balanced. Nice beer.

Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, and slight molasses. Flavor starts off well with the chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Not much of a lingering flavor and a little watery on the finish.

22 oz. bottle from Dutch’s. Pours a nice dark but clear brown color with a small tan head. Notes of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, earth, toast, and some faint caramel. Medium-bodied, with a rich and toasty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Finishes dry. My buddy used this for his dip spit once the bottle was down and I almost finished it before realizing what was going on. Good thing or it would have ruined my memory of this.

Nephilium (1259) - Ohio, USA - MAY 31, 2011
This starts with a nice strong aroma of chocolate and coffee, with big roasted notes. It pours a dark black, with ruby highlights when held up tot he light, with a big cragy light tan head. This is a nice easy drinking dark roasty beer, with a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Fairly light on the palate, with a bit of oily slickness to the mouthfeel. This is a good solid porter for the price.

Bottle shared by portableparty. Pours deep brown/black with a thin head. Aroma of lots of coffee, with some chicolate and burnt malts. Taste is the same. Very thin but nice to drink. Thanks Jeff!
