A full bodied and complex dark ale with flavor notes of coffee and chocolate complementing its big malty character.

22 oz. brown bottle courtesy of miketd. A very dark brown almost black beer with red hues on the edge of the glass. A good head that clings to the glass as it fades. The aroma is nice chocolate, roast, and some smokey burntness. The taste is clean with lots of chocolate with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and anymore would be perfect. The end is not so pleasant but a pretty good porter. The aroma is its best attribute.

651mL courtesy of mdfb79. Poured a clear brown with a healthy, brown head leaving good, spotty lace. Aroma of brownie mix, vanilla, light olive, mostly muted. Taste is sweet cola, light mildly bitter and burnt. Powdery, watery body. Even lightly tart.

Bomber. Just a little bit of light slips in around the edges of this dark brown pour. Head is fairly thin... tan foam. Chocolate milk dominates the nose, with a bit of an earth and leather backdrop. Flavor is straight chocolate milk... with just a hint of darker and more bitter notes that peek through now and again. Flavor is decidedly sweet, but it doesn’t head off into cloying territory. ABV is excellently hidden.

Watery, slightly clear brown pour. Tootsie roll and chocolate fudge aroma. Slightly sweet when it first hits the tongue. Roasty and chocolaty with a very bitter finish.

Thanks to the Tampa crew for sharing this one. Pours dark cola brown with a white head. Nose is dry coffee, slight cocoa, chocolate, and some nuts. Flavor is similar with chocolate, nuts, coffee, and cocoa. Medium to full-bodied and nice.

22oz bottle pours a mostly transparent, deep mahogany with a creamy beige head. Nice chocolate nose, malty, brown sugar, light smoke. Flavor has lots of smoke, malty, chocolate, a little light sourness. Finish is soft and lightly smokey. Not bad.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2011 A tasty beer. Picked up in Cleveland while I was home (where I stocked up on cleveland beers- followers eagerly wait for me to gradually drink all these beers!) Poured dark, and heavy out of the bottle. Clever label- I think it is the Kraft Mac and Cheese Dinosaur on a black jack playing card. Perhaps the cheetos I recently ate aided my thought process for this. Smokey not sweet at all, not chocolatey. I’d drink this again.
