3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 slang (654) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - FEB 12, 2011bomber. Heavily hopped amber-style IPA. Very rich & malty with more than enough hops to balance it. Enjoyable yet hearty & still drinkable.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pottygok (364) - Ohio, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Aroma: Floral hops with hints of spice
Appearance: Clear amber with thin head
Taste: Light bitterness throughout, but watery.
Palate: Light body, watery texture, average carbonation, no finish
Overall: Tastes like a solid beer that got extremely watered down--very disappointing.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCB (3862) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Bottle from Belmont Party Supply, Dayton. A treat to try TBK’s rendition of a hoppy red ale, and they did the job quite nicely I have to say. Very clear and bright pour, lustrous head on the deep copper. Sweet but unassertive malts in the nose along with buoyant simcoe. Prickly mouthfeel makes this one fairly playful and the malts blend very enjoyable with the bright hops.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 RamyG4 (238) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper-red with almost no head to speak of. Aroma is very malty for an IPA, with some hop character as well, mostly grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter. Dry finish with some spice. Medium to full bodied, very syrupy. Too malty and thick for an IPA, but I’m not sure how old the bottle is
3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jmagnus87 (1450) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2012
22oz bomber poured into a tulip. From Herchick, thanks Bob! Pours a clear dark ruby with about a finger of light tan head. Aroma is citrus dominated with a hint of pine resin and grapefruit. Taste is light bitter. Citrus and pine mostly. It seems the taste is way out of line with how good it smells. Medium bodied with a pretty slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I’ve had one other beer from TBK and I liked that one a lot more. Regardless, very drinkable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JStax (1724) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours an amberish copper with a white froth of a head and good retention. Aroma is mostly a piny spiciness with just a trace of a malt backbone. Taste is bitter and a touch sweet. Stick mouthfeel and a nice body.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nephilium (1164) - Ohio, USA - JUN 10, 2012
Very nice aroma with hints of pine and caramel. Pours a clear reddish-amber, with a full white head. The flavor is a nice blend of a caramel malts, finishing with a long bitter note. Light on the palate, and a bit thin in the mouthfeel. Overall, this is quite a good IPA, especially at the price point.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ContemplateBeer (1177) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 4, 2012
Aroma of solid caramel, bready malts with balanced spruce hops. Appearance is copper red with bone head. Flavor matches the nose; really more like an Imperial Amber than an IPA. Palate is soft and bubbly. Good.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DavoleBomb (1467) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Poured into a snifter.
4.5 A: Clear with a color somewhere between orange amber and deep amber. Two fingers of beige, frothy/creamy hybrid head. Retention is good and a thick, tall ring of lacing is left.
4.0 S: Smells wonderful. Super floral, resiny, lightly herbal, and with a touch of pine and papaya citrus. Moderate caramel notes from the malt and a light biscuitiness. Clean overall.
3.5 T: Taste is solid, but it’s more in line with the "standard" IPA than the stellar one. Hop flavor is much weaker than the nose with flowers, light pine, light herbal, and light citrus perceived. Low bitterness. Caramel and biscuity malts.
3.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess, which I want in an IPA.
3.5 D: Somehow TBK manages to make their IPAs smell great without tasting as good as they smell. Still a good beer though.

Refrigerated bottle, free beer from JStax, poured into a snifter. Pours clear crimson with small off-white head. Little lacing, medium body, resinous texture, and pine aroma. Taste is pine, some caramel malt, and bitter hop finish.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ICEatALAMO (587) - Troy, Michigan, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle. The color characteristics are that of a typical red ale. The aroma is hoppy, but also has some sweetness to it. The taste is decent, the hops are a little messy, and can really taste the munich style in it. Finishes a little bitter.
