This one poured a bright light orange color wtih an off white head. Aroma was of light lemon peel, orange, coriander and yeast. Flaov r was citric, yet lightly spicey, with a clean finish.

Sample at the Big Tap In on 04/20/2013. The beer pours hazy yellow with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Light-bodied with flavors of lemon, wheat and pale malts. The finish is fruity and sweet. Decent overall.

Bottle courtesy of weihenweizen. Lemon-orange, wheat malt, and coriander aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with a large white head. Floral lemon, wheat malt, and spicy flavor. Light body, lively carbonation. Slightly different take on a wit, which I found to be dangerously drinkable stuff. Very nice

JStax (1671) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Poured from a refrigerated bottle. Pours a pale translucent yellow with a thick, crisp white head of foam. The aroma is very estery and somewhat grassy with notes of bread coming through all over the place. Taste is very grassy and bready. Really liked this one. Not sure I’d call it a wit.

Nephilium (1152) - Ohio, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Mild spice aroma, with a touch of sweetness. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow, with a quickly fading head. Slightly sweet flavor, with a nice blend of spices, fading to a creamy sweet wheat finish. This is a nice approachable, drinkable summer beer. It’s nice to have a lighter option to drink every once in a while.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a vibrant straw-lemon color with a slight haze. Large pillowy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of big citrus notes, caramel, banana and a spicy finish. The taste is wheat, citrus, apricot, spices. Faint hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

From a bomber and I don’t think this qualifies as a beldgy white, its more like a wheat ale. Has some odd sulfur in the olfactory. Yes it looks like a white beer but in taste its much ruder than one would expect. Has lots of those rude ale attributes. Does has some hefe effects in the flavors but it does nothing to hide the alky and it comes across more like 6%, no lie. Finish is what else, wheat ale. Does not have hardly any of the refine real wit bier old stuff from the old country. Not much for a well behaved wheat beer.

Pours golden from tap with a thin white head. Slight hints of orange peel on the nose. Smoothness on the tongue with a slight fruitiness as well. Clean finisher. Good but not great example of style.

22 ounce bottle. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger foamy white head with decent retention that reduces to a ring of lace. Small amounts of lacing stick to the glass as you drink. Aromas of huge clove, pepper, banana, spices, and wheat. Very nice stuff here, nice strength too. Taste of big banana, clove, pepper, spice, wheat, and some citrus. Fairly dry finish, as expected, but there is some lingering citrus, spice, and banana notes. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. No alcohol in the taste or finish, as expected. Overall, an absolutely outstanding witbier. So much flavor and super easy to drink as well.
