3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle. Pours a deep, burgundy-orange color; khaki-colored head with fine-bubbled lacing. Toasty malts, raspberries, and creamy vanilla in the aroma; singular, sweet fruit character. Medium-to-full fruit notes in the mouthfeel: raspberries, sweet sugar and viscous, syrupy vanilla notes; toasty vanilla and oak, coupled with vanilla and breadiness; decent, toasty fruit beer. Medium finish: raspberries, toasty oak, and syrupy vanilla notes; decently arranged.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice to have a Fruit Beer that doesn’t come across like a bland American Wheat with some fruit syrup stirred in. This has a deep red body, slightly browned, with little of any head. The first whiff is of vanilla follwed rapidly and strongly with a clean raspberry aroma. The fruit tastes slightly artificial but blends nicely with the vanilla. It finishes on a tart raspberry note. Can’t tell what the base beer is. Pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep ruby body with coppery lowlights, topped with a thin, ragtag skin. Big doses of raspberry and vanilla in the nose, very dessert-like (even with a JellOish, fruity-dustiness). Flavors are dictated by the aroma with the raspberries showing their tartness. A little dry in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle, poured a copper/purpley color with a thin fleeting head. Instant aromas of vanilla, lots and lots of vanilla. I did not find any raspberry in the entire bottle, just lots of woody vanilla. Medium mouthfeel and then more vanilla. This wasn’t horribley (sp?) bad, but it just wasn’t my cup-o-tea.

On tap at Brew Kettle as part of sampler. Very nice amber/red color. Smelled the vanilla right away, could not detect the raspberry...This beer was very unique. The two flavors go really well together. I think the vanilla was definitely more predominate up front, but I did taste the Raspberry, and a bit of carbonation as well, which made it seem less like a beer. Overall, a very drinkable, if different, kind of beer!

1.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
(22 oz bottle: Obtained in trade) I was really looking forward to this beer, particularly since I think vanilla and raspberry really sounds like a tasty combination. Unfortunately, the aroma of this beer has pretty strong components of soap and paint. Absolutely brutal smelling, and it’s nearly impossible to put the glass near my face any more. The flavor is better (it can’t get any worse), but still shows considerable signs of sickness. Slightly sour, but incredibly soapy. Medium brown color and fully clear in appearance. The light-tan head pours tall and retains a quarter-inch layer. I need another bottle, hopefully with better luck.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
1/4 liter tulip on tap @ the B.K. A nice change from the usual. Dark red possible purple color influenced from the description. Thick lasting white head. raspberry aroma with hints of vanilla. a great alternative for the special lady who is not "micro’d" yet ( 8.3% abv won’t hurt either). goes great with the chocolate cake. not on the top of my list personally, but a good representation of the "genre."

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 6/20
1/4 liter tulip glass on tap @ Brew Kettle: Medium coppery amber w/ a tall lasting off white head. Strong raspberry aroma at first w/ hints of vanillla. Vanilla gets stronger as it warms and also has hints of cocoa powder. But there’s no real malt aroma. Well balanced w/ a raspberry up front, but more subdued compared to the aroma. Vanilla is more apparent in the aftertaste along w/ a light herbal hop flavor & some light bitterness. Finish is lightly tart and dry with hints of bitterness. Again, malt flavor is not very apparent and thin at best. Higher carbonation, lighter body, and dry m/f. Not a big fan of raspberries, hence, not a big fan of this beer. Nice hints of vanilla to add depth, but there’s not much else besides raspberry & vanilla to it. I personally wouldn’t have another one, but it may appeal to others.

2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
I got a sample at the brewpub and it turned out to be more than enough. It was a very pretty deep ruby color with an enticing aroma of raspberries on ice cream. I should have left it at that. The flavor was an odd sweet/tart raspberry, with something astringent in the back. Lemony sourness in the finish and I did not get any vanilla. And I looked. Not my thing.

2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 1/20
Big raspberry aroma with a little vanilla in there too. Dark, dark red color. Almost like a dark cranberry juice. Very Raspberry flavor; very sweet. Tastes like alcoholic raspberry soda, but was too sweet for me. Had a dry finish. Easy drink, though I could not drink too much because of the sweetness. Overall, lots of flavor, but very sweet. I could not drink more than one.
