4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow, this was a really good IPA. I’ve heard a lot of buzz in homebrewing circles regarding Citra hops (sold out a lot of places) and I have to say I didn’t understand the buzz until I tasted this beer. A light orange body that is clear but not brilliant under a soft white head. Aroma is very citrus-y with a lot of pineapple notes. Bitterness is quite apparent but not harsh in any way. This beer has got its IBUs in all the right places to make it extremely drinkable. Mouthfeel was smooth and good. This was a very good beer.
I had this on-draft at Rozi’s Wine house in Lakewood.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle@Home. Wonderful hoppy aroma. Pale golden, large white head, good lace, sparkling. Light sweet, bitter to very bitter in the finish, lots of hops. Medium body, lots of CO2. Refreshing, easy going although the bitterness is on the heavy side.

Bottle(s), courtesy of b3shine, thanks! Pour is golden, white head, OK retention/lace. Aroma of citrus, lemon, orange peel, light pine, light caramel. Taste is bitter, citrus, lemon, light wood, some caramel malt. Palate is oily, average carbonation, bitter finish. Good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright clear golden color, thin white head. Mainly syrupy pineapple for aroma, with hints of grapefruit, indistinct citrus, spruce, and an abundance of caramel malt. Very mild sweetness initially, quickly followed by pine resin bitterness. A bit of spiciness, crisp, and bubbly. A small alcohol presence, and a long bitter finish

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer is a fantastic base IPA. The hops shine through on the finish and the aroma hits you hard. The malt base should be increased to meld with that hoppy finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle received in a trade, just found in my fridge so I have no idea how old it is. Pours a clear orange yellow with a white head that is gone in a second. Smell is grapefruit , caramel malt , and fight citrus. Really heavy malt could be because of the age. Taste again grapefruit, sweet malt , and quite a bit of bitterness. Combination is good would like to have this when it’s fresh.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. 10/16/13. Pours a cloudy straw-gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma is fruity, juicy, fantastic; citrus fruits, pine, pineapple, white grapes, some caramel. Taste is surprisingly big, fairly assertive bitterness; lemon peel, mango, pineapple, grass. Not much in the way of malt profile. Finish is lasting bitter grapefruit, orange. Nice lacing throughout. Mouthfeel is surprisingly smooth, clean, wet. Medium carbonation. Really top notch IPA. My only criticism is the ABV; it tastes a bit stronger than 6.8%,
