Bottled from Miked. Pours copper amber with a dissipating ivory head. Aroma of floral hops and caramelly pale malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat complex malt backbone of caramel, chocolate, and toasty malts, nicely countered by the juicy citra hops. Bitter finish with resin at the very end. Very nice IPA, especially if you like malty IPA. West Coast in bitterness, but East Coast for maltiness.

Bottle: Thanks, Jason. Semi-clear, golden sunburst body with a soapy white layer of foam that settles rather quickly. Aroma is bursting with fresh, juicy grapefruit, tangerine flesh, pineapple, moderately dank lupulin oils, & a hint of peach. A citric & tropical hop explosion, pulpy & juicy with only a touch of malty cleanliness on the back-end. Taste is slightly less citric than the aroma & much more assertive, starting with a pungent bitterness full of dripping wet hop leaves, grapefruit rind, & some hemp oil. More bitter, pith-y type fruit in the finish with mild hop abrasion & a touch of semi-sweet, cookie dough malt for good measure. Finishes rather dry & clean without tearing your enamel away. The taste doesn’t quite match the nose for expectations, but this was still a damn fine IPA all around.

Backlog 2013. Bottle at Franks. Pours a golden body with no head. Aroma is nice big, citrus hop and resin. Mouthfeel is syrupy with notes of pine resin and grapefruit. Straightforward and solid.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Aroma is citrus. Flavors are grapefruit, citrus, floral, and light pine. Great citra Ipa, very nice clean flavors. Well balanced, light bitter pine in the back of the mouth. Wish I had more of this!

From a bottle. Pours hazy gold with a bubbly, frothy white head and thick lacing. Tastes very happy, like strong grapefruit, light pine, smooth and creamy. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like musky hops, resin, sweet orange and grapefruit.

Pours a fairly transparent amber hue with no head. Aroma is very hoppy with a hint of citrus, pine and a slight hint of malt. Taste is mild on the citrus with a huge blast of hops. Palate is fairly dominated by the huge blast of hops. Not that well balanced against the malts and citrus.

Color- slightly hazed yellow/orange with 1-finger head and lacing. Nose- citrus, soap, floral. Taste- slick mouth feel with citrus hops and tongue tingling bitterness. Good.

Pours a golden orange with medium white head. Slight hop aroma with maybe a hint of citrus, grapefruit, alcohol? and some bready malt smell as well. Medium body with excellent hop flavor throughout and beyond swallow. Zesty, citrus hop flavor with maybe a bit of floral hops. Balanced well with some bready malt on the backbone. Finishes relatively sweet for a single IPA but still a bit dry long after the swallow. Decent head retention. Overall, a really solid IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
