31 Jan 2013, can. very light orange, clear, occasional bubbles. nose is pretty much just sweet ginger ale. maybe heavy on the sweet, light on the ginger. thin body, a bit watery, slightly fizzy. dry wine and ginger ale. not what i’m looking for in a beer

24 oz can. From a liquor store in Chico, CA.
Clear amber colour with a small white head. Lime, some spices and some malt in the aroma. The flavour is lime, some spices and malt. I’m missing clamato. This is the first chelada/michelada without clamato I’ve tasted.

[6475-20140708] Bottle. Rosemary lime aroma. Clear, pale amber orange body with a quick foamy white head. Spiced apple flavour has a weird lime herbal note. Light body. Meh. (4/3/2/2/7) 1.8

Can. Pours gold with a white head. Macro lager base, with some mild lime-like citrus up front, faint saltiness, and some odd chili-pepper like flavors, which I wasn’t anticipating, but now that I read the deScription, I guess it’s supposed to be there. Very mild heat lingers in the finish. Not horrible.

2014-07-08. Golden yellow body small off white head. 3+ Aroma is oddly fruity, lime. 6+ Flavour is similar, lime, sweetish pale malt core. Smooth average to thin bodied palate, soft carbonation. Dramatically less bad than anticipated. Bottle, Tasting at cgarvieuk’s, Edinburgh

Tecate Michelada has a thin-to-medium, white head, a mostly clear, but with lots of roiling particulate matter, burnished gold (from the added caramel color), bubbly appearance. There is a thin lacing sheen left behind. The aroma is bold- Tecate lager with an overriding chili pepper, or even more so, chili powder smell, which fills the nose. There’s also a lime component, here. Taste is of the same, and the chili powder and lime ride side-by-side with this one. Mouthfeel is between light and medium, with some sliminess. Tecate Michelada finishes semi-dry and easy drinking. Overall, this is an interesting novelty beer. Check it out! RJT

Only 14 ratings? Thanks for the wale tick from Aaron! Clear orange pour with thin to no head, aroma brought lime, some lemon, hints of biscuit, corn and some wheat. Taste is lime, slight spice, corn, hints of biscuit, finishing fairly clean, dry. It is what it is.

Can: Poured a amber with soft bubble head around the edges. Aroma is spicy and burrito vomit. Taste is medicinal with some grain.
