0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 otakuden (1490) - Vero Beach, USA - OCT 22, 2010
Ah Tecate…how you did not impress me. In fact, you rather disappointed me seeing as you were supposed to be one of the more respectable “Mexican” lagers out there. But no, in terms of domesticity, you were most definitely nothing to write home about, much less allow you to meet the parents.
Very clear and very light, I can sort of make out the color of bleached straw, but just barely. His pathetic head gives up the ghost with nary a spot of lace or collar. Diving right in, glutton for punishment that I am, cornbread, buttered bread, soggy lemons, and soggy grains carry me right along to my quaff which culminates in a whole lot of nothing. His seltzeresque mouthfeel bursts painfully atop my tongue. Eventually I discern watery lemon floating atop a river of water-logged breads and grains. No finish. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero. I brave a few more quaffs of watery lemon and soggy wonderbread nothingness before he is quickly dispatched down the drain.
Bleh. Don’t even bother unless you have some sick wish for liquid torture.

It’s good. It’s not great. I’ve had a lot better. That’s about all i can say about this particular beer. Will I drink it again. Most likely not.
