This brew poured a medium head ofsmall white quickly disappearing bubbles that left a transparent wheat yellow body behind. Its aroma is of the medium hoppy variety and its mouthfeel is smooth initially and on through the finish. It has a medium strength malt hop flavor a bit stronger than the Modelo.

Typical tasteless and insipid mexican-type lager. Do they add corn in that brew so that the taste fits with corn chips ?

Strong adjunct taste with nasty metallic finish. I've had this at other times without the metallic taste.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2009 Not bad... slight sweet flavor was very simular to Dos Equis Amber. My sample was in a can, so that no doubt didn’t help any. An ok beer. Update: Recently had from a bottle and it was not as good as I remembered.. not terrible mind you but pretty average.

Yellow, corny tasting with a somewhat dry finish. Yet another watery Mexican beer that you need spicy food for.

Was at a lousy little Mexican restaurant for Cinco de Mayo last year. They gave me one of these in a can. -Real classy joint... One word: watery! Save your money and pick a cheap American brew if this is your game!

Tecate is much better than corona. However with corona you need lime to make it palatable. This can survive on its own. Much better with lime though.

Better than Corona but by no means good. Think corn think a sickly yellow color. Now you have it.

Bottled. Smelled a little skunky. That's all it had going for it. No taste, flat. Looked like an Amercian standard.

Had with my enchilada plate at the local Alcapulco restaurant. Out of concern for getting a "pure" sampling, I didn't squeeze the lime into the glass. Fizzy, dark yellow and a head that disappeared almost instantly. Typical mass produced lager aroma. Slightly more flavor than Corona or Pacifico. A passable beer when eating Mexican food, but not much else. I should have squeezed the lime...
