Typical rubbery hops/malty sweet aroma. Weak light yellow with no head. Medium-heavy fizz and thin watery body. Horrible taste! Some weird chemical, adjuncty bitter taste (maybe it wasn’t cold enough). Odd finish and after. After I rated, threw in a lime - didn’t help.

Give it the nod over Corona, but not up to XX status. Acceptable lawnmower beer at best.

Had this once when I was drunk in Mexico. I thought I was drinking water until I read the label.

Slightly sweet with a hint of diacytal (unless I am tasting things). The color of a morning piss. OK when drank very cold and maybe with a lime.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2004 Drinkable mexican cousin of american standard swill, cornish/ricey (i dont know nor care which) sweet lager poo...Hecho en Mexico..nuff said...Note: Brewers need to put more good beer in cans so that people can enjoy good beer on the beach and not be forced to drink the beers that are available in cans..That being said, i dont mind tipping back a few tecate's from time to time.

Well, it works with lime. One of the better Mexican imports. Is that saying much?

Not bad for a Mexican beer. It’s better out of the bottle than out of the can. Due to the amount of hops, malt and corn, it tastes more American than Mexican (probably because it’s brewed not far from the border).
