Light gold color, medium head. A light bodied lager style beer. Light malt and hops. Very little flavor or taste. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is nearly neutral. Not much to this beer, well made, but just not much taste.

Sweet whiskey-like nose is the best thing on this one. Sugary and sweet with no bitterness. Thin body and unbalanced. No much to say about this except below average.

Ok, a friend was so excited to find this beer...vacations memories? Smelled like chewing gum mixed with malt and alcohol. Golden with no head. It is btter in the beginning, leads into a watery finish combined with a flat carbonation.

Another mexican beer, which says plenty. Could go well with spicy mexican food, but thats really the only time I’d want it. I’ve never seen it come out of a bottle . . . I guess its only in cans, which isn’t going to help the taste.

A little bit sweet. That made this drink somewhat tolerable for me. Nothing more to say about this.

Keep in mind I had mine out of a can, into an icey cold mug, and at a Mexican restaurant with lots of salsa, but that it what this beer if for. Nice fluffy head and very pale yellow color and not much nose. This is a very clean, crisp and refreshing lager, with sweet malt tones (and I did not use the lime, although you certainly may). Yes, it is an American Standard and tastes like it, but it is better than most. I’ll take this over Corona anyday.

It’s not that it taste bad (it doesn’t) it just doesn’t taste real good either. It taste very, very much like average American swill (Bud/Miller). I, for one, find that most Beaner beers have a unique flavor among them. Like them or not, Mexican beer usually taste different that American Domestic. Tecate is the one big exception. Even with some salsa chips and limes this doesn’t taste like a Mexican beer. And it’s expensive: I paid $10 for a 12 pack. Even at half the price it’s not worth it. If you must try it, have 1 at a restaurant, then move on. Don’t get stuck with 12 of them like I am.

It’s a lot like Corona, only the flavor is more mild, almost sweet.
