If you wonder about the eagle in the logo, it’s because Tecate is mexican for "tastes like eagle urine". That’s all there is to say about this awful product.

Just about the most awful thing you can find in Mexico. I picked up a sixer off the street to take home, thinking that it was a steal for 3 bucks or so. Can’t say that it was. I’m not really a fan of Mexican lager to begin with, and I still think this one is particularly offensive. The strongest flavor is the taste of the can, if that tells you anything. Mine had a fairly long metallic finish, so I think maybe it was past the prime drinking stage, but I doubt that it was much better earlier. Or perhaps it.s just really that bad.

you know how when all the ice melts at the bottom of a glass of soda or tea or whatever, it still has that little bit of flavor to it? thats what this is like.

Can- Beer has a straw yellow color with a light head and moderate carbonation. Smell was a generic & bland. Taste was light and refreshing. the finish was a bit watery and went down easy. This is a drinkable beer, minus the lemon of course and the price is also a factor.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2010 I drank this because the guy I helped move-out handed everyone a hot dog and one of these. I had it just so I could talk about it on ratebeer, and so I could stop judging it without trying it. Well, it sucked. Alot. Pretty flat and unbearable without a lime wedge, but still better than Bud Light.

Poured this beer into a glass to drink. It was a clear, light gold color with a very small white head that had almost no retention or cling. Its aroma was a light mixture of grainy hops and light malt; nothing stood out. The taste was a bitter-sweet mixture with grain. The body was wet and on the thinner side with low to average carbonation. The beer was fairly smooth and drinkable with decent flavor.
