1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours clear light amber with low white head. Aroma of bread, corn, light caramel, some citrus. Taste is bland sweet, corn and bread. Body is light, slick, with soft carbonation. The lemon wedge tasted more than the beer.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Appearance: 1" white head dissipates rapidly leaving very little lacing. Color is straw and clear. Significant carbonation bubbles rising.
Aroma: corn, some toasted barley, maybe a slight hop aroma.
Mouthfeel: watery and similar to most macro style lagers, dry finish.
Flavor: fairly mild. There is some sweetness from the barley (and I assume, corn adjunct), with a mild hop presence for some balance. I pickup a sort of saltine cracker flavor as well.
Overall: decent for the price.

This one hit the spot for the time being. Heat index of 105 and this drank ice cold. Nothing special at all, smells like nothing, drinks like carbonated sweet light grain.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Not much going for this lager, except that it was cold and wet. Very little in the way of flavor or aroma, typical cereal grain body and overall watery palate. Beer flavored water,,,,,

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I enjoy Mexican lagers on hot summer days on the lake and Tecate is no exception. Nothing special, just a typical tasting Mexican pale lager. Is this a good beer? I wouldn’t say that, but in the right time and place, I’ll happily drink plenty.

This is the Original! The first of its kind. The chicken or the egg, whichever you believe. This was the first beer to recognize that they were not good and so they advertised putting salt and lime on the dirty rim of the can to enjoy it more. Did it work? Still tastes bad to me.

Not bad for a cheap Mexican beer. I can stand about two to three when my choices are limited

Can. Pours clear yellow with minimal white head. Smells slightly fruity, spicy, lagerish. Tastes slightly citrusy, crisp, very lagerish. Not too good.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 The appearance combines a light yellow color and a large white head that fades quickly, and the aroma is typical of a pale lager with its yeast and sour malt scents. The taste is mildly sour, and a touch sweet, and the palate fuses a medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, and an abrupt finish.

Subtle, unsophisticated macrobrew taste. Water down simple beer resembling Michelob or Bud
