1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pale yellow color, thin head, highly carbonated. Typical mexican lager taste, thin, somewhate watery, not very good. Do yourself a favor by squeezing a lime or lemon wedge into it, or do an even bigger favor by not drinking it at all.

Light tasting, somewhat watery. A light beer but has 4.5 percent alcohol, so it should not taste this light. Very mild.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can. Standard pale lager fare. Inoffensive enough. Seems to be replacing PBR as the go to cheap beer in a lot of hipster enclaves and as uninspiring as it is, that can only be a positive.

From a bottle. Pours clear, very pale gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like faint corn, faint grains, sweet, watery, and a bit musky. Light body and low carbonation. Faint aroma of sweet corn and musky malt. Not much going on.

I had one of these in a bottle and thought, it’s not too bad. I was in a small grocery store with a minimal selection and saw Tecate in the can and thought, that will work. Everyone of them has tasted like the metal can. I’ll never buy it in the can again. Might have even turned me away from Tecate all together.

"not bad for swill...kinda pale and kinda light, but ever so slightly drinkable...ice cold and in a can on a hot summer day only...but that makes it better than some!"
