Tasted in Helsinki in a warm summer afternoon. Definetely this beer fits the goal to cool down the overheated tourist. Epic bitter palate but otherwise nothing special. Healthy texture however head on beer disappeared quickly. Ideal for summer even in Northern Europe.

Draught @ Teerenpeli, Helsinki. Light amber colour with a white head. Very fruity hoppy aroma with notes of pine as well. A hint of malt on the background. The flavour is mainly bitter with some malty sweetness. A dry, bitter finish. Might benefit from better balance between malt and hops.

Tap. Golden yellow, clear, small white head. Aroma is faint with grain and piny hops. Taste has grain, some pine. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter and long. A bit watery and weak mouthfeel. Far from a good ESB but a decent beer still. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle at a bar. Quite malty and not that bitter. Maybe it would be better from the tap.

Fra Kilpishalli. Drukket hjemme 1 Mar 13. Lys gylden. KI=6

33cl 4.7% on brown bottle, from Joulupukki @ kilpishalli. Head: Small, off white, only a filmy layer then, and a sunken curtain. Body: Bright amber, slightly hazy. Scents: Far away pine forest and hops. Taste: Hops, spruce or pine, herby malts, hint of caramel or toffee, resin, low bitterness. To palate: Slightly crispy dry, well bodied. Ending: Fine fading final through hops, herbs, wood, and lots of caramel malts. Overall a decent beer, but classed as bitter, that side is very modest, so it seems as an ale. For a pilsener enjoyer quite pleasant. Enjoyed at new years day, shared with my beautiful Frau Anna.

Clear dark orange body with an even layer of white foam. Nose is sweet with notes of mango, fruits and berries. Taste has a sweet berry start that is immediately followed by a crisp dry taste. The finish is long and dry. Carbonation is high with a lot of large bubbles forming in the mouth. Interesting beer, nice but a little dry to my taste.

On tap at Teerenpeli Kamppi. Deep golden with a small, white head. Aroma of malt and hops with hints of fruits and spices. Medium body with average carbonation. Quite decent and easy drinkable, but a bit boring. (2013-08-17)
