Sweet aroma, lightly roasted. The mouthfeel is too carbonated. Taste is sweet and fruity in a way that is almost estery. A boring beer that is not a porter, they should have just canned this instead of presenting something this mediocre in such a flamboyant bottle.

Bottle. Flavor is strangely fruity and malty at the same time. Finishes off nice and bitter, but seems abit bland.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown. The aroma is of caramel and light roasted malt alongside a light fruitiness and hints of soil. The flavour is sour and dark bread malty with a touch of hops in the background. The mouthfeel is dry and tart. Medium bodied.

(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Aroma is a bit weird but has some malt and coffee. Sweetish flavor with some strange fruitiness and some malt. Medium-bodied.

750 ml swing-top bottle. Black color, tan head. Slightly yeasty, sour aroma with hoppy notes. Slightly sour flavor with chocolate notes and a malty finish. Creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation. But what’s with the tart flavor? If I want a lambic, I’ll buy a lambic.

Bottled @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2008. Dark brown with a medium sized head. A bit boring - notes of malt, prunes and mollasses.

Pours brown with a nice, small, creamy, brown head. Aroma is lightly tart, well roasted. A little thin mouthfeel. Flavour is light, some fruity tartness again, low bitterness and a little roasted malts. Weak.

Opaque dark brown body. Sweetish malty nose. Grapey?! malt that’s apparently nice and I’ve had better but it’s an ok beer nonetheless. Man, these notes are a blast. If only they made more sense.

Shady dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Weak roasted scent. Malty spicy taste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
