Pleasant bitter aroma. Red, small keggy head. Simple keggy bitter body. Dry earthy body. A bit dead, but no flaws, a barely adequate English bitter. Not helped by being keg and cold.

Slightly hazy amber, flattish, looks tired. Fruity hoppy aroma. Palate a bit flat, definitely a bit tired. Simple fruity hoppy body, pleasantly bitter. Finish is fruity and bitter. Good malt balance, and drinkability high. Nice one. I get the feeling that I didn’t have this at its best, so should rerate. It certainly had a lot of potential.

Wow - a different beer. So much more in every direction. Upped everything by one point. Lovely clear distinct hops, fruity and aromatic. Great bitter. Anna only had it at its best - lucky her!

(Draught at Teerenpeli Kamppi, 20121116) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, toffee and herbalness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, toffee, malts, berries, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. An unbalanced and messy brew with some flavours pointing to fermentation errors. Not a good one.
Earlier Rating: 4/24/2009 Total Score: 3.3
(Draught at the brewpub on 2009-04-23) Quite cloudy and dark amber colour. Small and lightly tan coloured head that didn’t last long. Fruitiness, citricness and hint of pine in aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, strawberries, bitterness, fruitiness, citricness and pine in taste. Fruity and bitter aftertaste.

Draught@Teerenpeli, Helsinki. Sold as "Talon olut" from Laiskajaakko tap. Clear amber color, good creamy beige head. Piney, fruity aroma, very seldom seen in Teerenpeli. Nice grassy, piney and a bit fruity hopping. Bitter aftertaste. Usually Teerenpeli beers are bland, this is not.

Draught@Teerenpeli, Helsinki. Slightly hazy amber colour with small beige head. Aroma is bigtime fruity and also has some wooden notes. Also caramel malts and some yeast. Flavour is bigtime fruityness along with grassy hops and quite yeasty notes as well.

Draught@ Teerenpeli, Kamppi. Pours beautiful, hazy, full orange, with a thin head leaving a little lacing. Quite tasteful aroma is well-hopped, really sweet with exotic fruits like mango and peach. Unfortunately, taste doesn’t quite compare with the aroma. Though it possess all the good characteristics of the aroma ( Fruity, sweet, mango), they’re only weaker and more watery. Quite watery on the palate, also slightly tangy carbonation. Anyhow, in the aftertaste, the hop-base is quite well present and it’s also tasty. I think the preconditions of this beer are really good, since there’s no unpurities or nothing like that. It’s just that this is too thin and watery and therefore slightly lame. We want more hops :)
