larsga (6140) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 21, 2008
Thin white head. Hazy opaque orange body. Fruity mealy banana aroma with florist notes. (Florist is right. Smells a bit like a florist shop.) Dryish sweetish mealy yeasty floral taste with banana notes. Sharpish mouthfeel, probably from carbonation in the mouth. No real aftertaste, just perfumy traces of ash and milk. Still, quite a good effort. (0.3l draft at Teerenpeli Kamppi, Helsinki.)

Tranquillity (1410) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2008
Draught. Strong, herb-yeast-orange aroma, orange-yellow body anbd a tiny white head. Taste full with orange, cinnamon, herbs and with a long, balanced finish.

Draught@Maltainen Monni, Helsinki. Cloudy, burnished yellow color, foamy head. Aroma and taste both mostly yeast and banana. Not particularly exciting.

raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - SEP 9, 2007
(Teerenpeli, Helsinki). Looks horrible, sort of mustard yellowbrown, with even cloudiness all the way through. Nose is mainly wheat, yeast and some banana. Flavor has some nice hops, yeast and some fruits. More of dry than sweet which is good. Some acidiness. All in all, it’s the only finnish hefe-weizen I’ve tasted and quite a good one.

Draught in Helsinki. A summery weize with fine citrus zing. A little banana, too, but that is swept away by the fresh lemon finish. Refreshing!

FatPhil (9172) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 10, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2007 Keg (Teerenpeli Kamppi, Helsinki) Bizarrely orange coloured, looks a bit odd. Smells strongly of the wheat and characteristic bananas, some corriander too. Smooth sweet and refreshing taste, but lacks some of the bite or sharpness with the style.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 18, 2006
Orange colored, hazy appearance. Little vanishing white head. Strongly sweet, fenoly, yeasty and banana aroma. Medium bodied. Crispy palated. Flavor has also lots of banana and sweetness with mild yeast. Aftertaste is slightly dry with lasting banana. Round ending. Good basic weisse.

spporras (259) - FINLAND - MAY 15, 2006
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2007 (Draught@Teerenpeli Kaisaniemi, Helsinki) Fruity (banana, lemon) and wheaty aroma. Yellow brown colour, hazy and large, white head with fair lacing. Banana, lemon, wheaty, bubble gum-like and slightly acidic flavour. Lively carbonated and light to medium-bodied palate. 24/05/07 (original rating was 6/3/6/3/12)

Powerful fascinating aroma includes bananas and a truck load of yeast. Smooth, slightly sweet flavor is nice and fresh. Moderate carbonation. A well done traditional hefeweizen.
