50cl bottle at Probus Wines. Pours incredibly light yellow - looks really thin. Aroma doesn't give much away other than some sweet dough and a bit of herby/vegetal hop spice. Taste is pretty clean: bread and sweet cake mixture malt - only a touch of herb which is hard to detect. Crisp finish with a bit of metallic tang. Watery mouthfeel. Very brief aftertaste. So light and easy going. Not much to it, but at a cold temperature on a warm day this could do the trick.

Enligt stilbeskrivningen en öl man kan dricka i större kvantitet. Kan jag hålla med om. Tog slut snabbt. Ren och fin.

The head is nice, the body golden. It smells sweet malty, fresh, crispy. The taste is sweet malty, malty, less hoppy. A bit boring but a quite nice malty taste. 12/11/10/10/10/10

Clear yellow with 2 fingers of white head, good retention. Germans hops in nose with a medium intensity. In mouth starts kinda bitter, then, some malt and coockies. End is long for a helles and invites to drink more and more. Good helles!

500ml bottle from the Munich train station. Pours a crystal clear, pale yellow colored body with an inch thick, foamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is grainy and lightly sweetened with hints of fruit and a light grass. Flavor is better. Lightly sweetened, somewhat grainy, and a bit bready with some light fruit notes. Finishes a touch sweet, somewhat dry, and lightly bitter before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light body and a moderate, crisp carbonation. Overall, a decent helles. Crisp, clean, and easy drinking. Not bad.

Reviewed 2/24/13. Thanks to Momar42 for this German curiosity! 500ml bottle into a nonic pint glass. A: Pours a very pale straw color featuring excellent carbonation. The head is a two finger whIte color. It fades at a moderate clip, and leaves nice patches of lacing going down. S: It’s a typical aroma for the style - lots of grassy hops, unobtrusive malts, and some diacetyl. I’d say the latter is a bit more prevalent than I’d like, but a fairly good aroma otherwise. T: At first, the buttery diacetyl presence (just like in the aroma) comes fairly strongly. Luckily, it smooths out into nicely crisp, hoppy bite on the finish. Some slight fruitiness will try to build up, as well. Not ultra interesting, but about what I expect from the style. M: Light and crisp to be sure - but sadly the finish and aftertaste isn’t as dry as I’d like here. For that reason, it lacks great drinkability. It’s got good carbonation, at least. O: Not bad. I’d say this one is a notch or two below the best of the style, though. Worth a try.

Spritzy, high carbonated, quite dry brew. Color is pale yellow, white top with weak performance. Flowery aftertaste. Cant catch the difference between pale lager and helles (light beer in N Germany). taste is medium sweet, no hops presence. NoThSp...
