Bottle from Carringtons, Chorlton. Pallid golden pour with a small white head. Insipid grainy nose. Pretty watery palate. Pale malts and bready notes in the flavour. Boring in extremis.

Bottle 50cl. A clear yellow-golden beer with medium head. Basic lager kind of beer, quite bitter and dry. Light body nothing special in this one bit disappointed.

tasted 2 months after best before date.
clear yellow, smooth white head.
sweet dry malty aroma, dusty, the sweet notes are flowery and sugary, but ample bitterness there to back it up, and the overall impression is dryness. great aroma.
flavor is malty, bitter hoppy, not as strong as aroma would suggest, nce bitter aftertaste, good balance. Great Helles, taste close to my personal preference with this kind of beer.

On tap at Tegernsee brewery. Unfortunately they don’t have the patience to draw it slowly, as the German tradition wants, but I appreciated it anyway. That’s because of the high number of customers in the brewery bar. This caused an high carbonation which confused me a little bit in recognizing all the tastes. Anyway, the malt taste is in any case noticeable. Good to give it a chance! ;)

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Light yellow, small fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and grainy sweetish aroma with notes of grassy hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty flavor with some sweetness and faint grassy hoppyness. Finish is short, malty with some sweetness. Quite typical light bodied lager – nothing wrong, nothing special.

Draught at Kopfeck. Big fluffy head on a light gold body. Malty aroma with lots of bread and some cracked grain. A touch of hops as well. The flavor is very malt balanced but just lightly sweet. Hops are mild and add just a touch of spice. Medium-lift in body with soft carbonation. A very malty helles that manages to be very drinkable at the same time.

0,5 liter fles. Een beetje karakterloos bier (of is dit nou net het karakter). Geen bitters. Niets. Maar ook geen echte fouten.

A surprisingly malty aroma for a helles. Flavor is much more like a pils. A good dry bite right up front.. First beer of Munich on thursday before oktoberfest. Room rate: 125 Euro. Friday night (if I were staying) 570 Euro!!!!
