Reviewed 2/24/13. Thanks to Momar42 for this German curiosity! 500ml bottle into a nonic pint glass. A: Pours a very pale straw color featuring excellent carbonation. The head is a two finger whIte color. It fades at a moderate clip, and leaves nice patches of lacing going down. S: It’s a typical aroma for the style - lots of grassy hops, unobtrusive malts, and some diacetyl. I’d say the latter is a bit more prevalent than I’d like, but a fairly good aroma otherwise. T: At first, the buttery diacetyl presence (just like in the aroma) comes fairly strongly. Luckily, it smooths out into nicely crisp, hoppy bite on the finish. Some slight fruitiness will try to build up, as well. Not ultra interesting, but about what I expect from the style. M: Light and crisp to be sure - but sadly the finish and aftertaste isn’t as dry as I’d like here. For that reason, it lacks great drinkability. It’s got good carbonation, at least. O: Not bad. I’d say this one is a notch or two below the best of the style, though. Worth a try.

Das schmeckt ja mega geil, einfach schön süffig, wohl eins der süffigsten Biere der Welt. Eine Flasche geht ja runter wie nix. Also davon kann man ’ne Kiste saufen! Einfach lecker!

Bottle: clear, golden color. Smell has some malt but is quite weak. Aroma is also quite flat. Nevertheless very refreshing.

0,5 l bottle, with a simple label art design. Clear and pale golden in the glass, mighty white foamy head. Mash and citrus on the nose.Grainy citrus at the start, moderate bitterness. Spicy caramell at the end. An easy to drink afterwork beer for every day. Typical good standard Helles.

Geel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht hoppig en ietwat zoet. Bljift redelijk lang hangen. Goed bier.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Ariel. Straw color. Aroma of grassy hops, a bit herbal, a bit of bready malt and light graininess. Flavor has some sweetish bready malt and a mild bitterish noble hops finish. Easy-drinking.

Bought by bottle near Munich, clean, crisp tasting lager, very drinkable although maybe lacks something in comparison to an Augustiner.
