Pours super pale yellow with a big white head. Smells of light sweet malt, grass, grain and mild hops. Taste is similar to smell but there is a hint of sour mash flavor. Very nice mouthfeel, soft and smooth with a nice prickle. Overall a nice easy drinking beer that is simple but nice in its simplicity.

This is horrible. Picked up randomly at a drug store in Berlin. Oh boy this is bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

24th April 2010: I have just spent the last few hours washing the car and mowing the lawns, it is sunny but cold (it is after all Shropshire in April). I am therefore allowed to treat myself to a lunchtime beer. I have choosen this because I have a new (given to me) ’Paderborner’ vase shaped 0.3 litre glass I want to christen. I have fond memories of Paderborner beers. The brown 0.5 litre bottle was poured (twice) slowly into my newly given glass: A bright light straw yellow, golden beer stared at me, on top each time sat a huge foaming snow white head. As so often happens with pilsner/lager based beers, I struggle to pick up any true smells or aromas, this had a hint of cerels, but no beery smells like hops or malt etc, etc. If this the breweries special, their regular beer must be tasteless, because this doesn’t set the world alight with flavour in any shape or form. It has the regular pilsner/lager freshness, lightness and dryness, but lacks any sort of punch or oomph. The 5.6%ABV is just about detectable within the brew, but I found the whole expereince a bit disappointing, I had been looking forward to this beer. I traded this at the Pre-Zythos earlier in the year and had been saving it for a treat, big mistake!

500 ml bottle.Drunk straight from the bottle. It’s a bit boring, not really outstanding. Not bad, though.

Bottle, 50 cl. Clear quite pale/yellow beer with a bubbly, diminishing white head.. Aroma is sweet brewing cereal, hay witha herbal whiff. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied, watery mouthfeel with an average carbonation. Finish is semi-dry, light bitter with a grassy, hayish note. Not that special!

Pale yellow clear , with nice white head, lacing. Aromas some floral hops, grain, grass, and hay. Palate is medium bodied with lively smooth mouthful carbonation. Aftertaste is little floral and papery, with dryness and medium long hoppy finish. Quite drinkable and balanced Helles beer, but still standard stuff.

500ml bottle, Rehills, Ncl. Pours a very pale yellow with a white head. Sweet malt aroma, with some bread and herb characteristics. Sweet and soft on the tongue, some sugariness comes in midway, as does a sherbert aroma. It could be A.N.Other continental lager really

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

In bottle. Clear as a bell, light golden pour with a lasting white head. Aroma of bready yeast, grass and caramel. Similar bready, grassy flavours with a little metallic finish. Moderate carbonation and fairly heavy going.
