(Bottle, Aufsturz, Berlin, 24 july 2010) Clear yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grain, grass and tropical fruit. Malty taste with bread, grain, tropical fruit (pineapple) and grassy hops in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Well balanced and tasty with a solid malt foundation and a generous grassy hop character.

Draught at GBBF, August 2005. Pale straw colour. Mainly malty throughout. Bready and doughy. Not much hop presence or bitterness. I prefer my lagers a bit more zippy than this.

Ernest (7164) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 2, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with a note of DMS. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Plain and simple. Not as bad as the Hell I had 5 years ago in Munich, though. A gift from the Knoblach brewer’s son (who brews at Tergensee).

Biggish offwhite head. Clear yellow body. Minty floral aroma with herbal spicy fruity notes. Dry-sweet minty strawy fruity taste with herbal grassy notes. Soft, mild, smooth mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish grainy minty strawy aftertaste with herbal spicy floral notes. Lovely! Extremely harmonic and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Absinth Depot, Berlin.)

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Quinns. Lightly hoppy and generally boring helles. Certainly drinkable, nothing offensive in anyway, just very very dull.
