Pleasant nose with toasty malt notes and a hint of earthy leaves. Pours deep copper brown, slightly cloudy, with a persistant tan head and strong lace. Flavour is gently rich and oily with thick bitter notes that linger well. A slightly thin mouthfeel detracts but only a little, and it finishes long, deep, bitter and strong. Itís not amazing, but a good, heart-warming, winter ale.

Very hazy amber beer with a tidy cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with a light carbonation. Smooth malt, touch of dry cream. Light tangy dried fruits. Whisper of bubblegum. Fairly neutral finish. Not bad.
