COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with a fine malt body similar to the bocks of southern Germany but drier than the typical bocks of Bavaria.

Rated while drinking: Light caramel color with a big fluffy off-white head. Subtle whiffs of sweet malts. Flavor is almost like Dundee’s Honey Brown with a thimble of bitterness. "...similar to the bocks of southern Germany"? Pwobway not.

The body has a deep amber color with good clarity and just a few small bubbles of carbonation making there way up to the head. The head is just off white in color, small and fades fast. Only a small ring of slick lacing remains. It has a light roasted grain aroma with a light hint of minerals and leafy herbal hops. The flavor has a base of light roasted grain with lots of buttery sweet notes. There are some mineral salt like notes and mild bitterness as well that turn into grassy/leafy hop flavors into the finish. The palate has light to medium body with a slick and fizzy texture.

Bottle - thanks Brandon! Brownish pour. Semi-sweet but pretty lousy stuff. Bleh.

Aroma is nutty malts and caramel/toffee. The flavor is toffee/caramel and a slight edge of industrial malts in the finish.

Amber with off white head. Mild fruit, metallic, hint of caramel aroma. Tinny, sour hop, mild fruit flavor. Unbalanced, medium dry hop finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

SHIG (3612) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Bottle: Poured a darker colored amber. Aroma is malty. Taste was a sweet up front caramel malt, but had a candy like licorice finish that seemed almost souring. Leaves the palate dry.

Root beer colored body with no head. Smell is caramel and light molasses. Taste is the same with notes of licorice. Not horrible but too watery. Not really of fan of this but drinkable.

Bottle.
Pours an average bubbly root beer brown with an aroma of watery licorice and retarded coffee malt. Flavor is smoky-sweet malt that just, well, it doesn’t work. It’s watery and it’s everything a half-assed craft-wannabe is; that is, it sucks. Sorry, but it does. Watery mouthfeel. If this is Tejas, I’ll go to hell.

pours a copper to light red color, with little to no head, which was white. aroma of malt, and caramel, nothing really anything else. the flavor is malty with slight taste of caramel absolutely no hops or bitterness. the palate is very water, and plain. overall this is really boring and not recommended

Dark brown. Caramel smelling and tasting, fake, not good at all. Barely drinkable, but better than a Bud.
