3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 ekoerper (549) - Iowa, USA - OCT 2, 2012
Aroma of toasty malts, a touch of toffee, some fruity hops. Amber pour, slightly hazy, white head with average retention. Toasty malt flavors, some biscuit and toffee, crisp fruity hops and a nice balancing bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. A nice, easy drinking brew.

A good sipping amber. Pours a little boring brown. Smells pretty fruity, a little bit of strawberries. Tastes a little fruity too. Refreshing. Had in the bottle in Healdsburg.

So good. A true new age belgo-french saison, but with a Cali twist. Aroma is raisins dates spices woods. Appearance big bubbly effervescent head, brownish red color. Taste spicy french barnyard yeast and rustic straw dark fruits with lots of big grains. Palate is covered in sweet spicy outdoors. Overall really well made and I liked it
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mmalon3 (12) - Illinois, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Poured from a wire cork bottle into fluted tasting glass. Effervescence and viscus are the first two things that come to mind, but the balance between these two is what really sets this beer up. The body is malty and sweet with some dried fruit taste. Hops offer a slight bitterness at the front but are overwhelmed by sweetness at the finish. Overall a great beer and an excellent example of a California Common.

in a bottle sent to me by my brother poured a rich amber color with a huge, frothy white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, spice, vanilla and a hint of fruitiness. Pretty straightforward and not overly tasty of a beer. Some caramel, yeast, earthy/herbal elements with a slightly tart flavor. Just ok
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Advocate_Ames (225) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2012
Fruit aroma. Wonderful head. Unfiltered. Hops show up in the taste with minor bitterness. This beverage is fair to my palate. I would enjoy another.

Bottle. Clear amber/copper pour with a karge white head and heavy carbonation. Aroma is light and somewhat dry bready malt with some spice and background hop bitterness. Taste is slightly sweet malt with some spiciness and light hop bitterness with a tangy quality through the finish. Clean and light mouthfeel. Nice, easy drinker.

Pours quite clear and has a amber hue. A super tall white head sits atop a massively carbonated brew. The white foamy cap doesn’t fade but instead grows, now thats a carbonated beer.
Aroma is malty with a tad of spice and yeast.
Taste is dry with some caramel malts. Hop profile here is low with not much flavor although there is some bitterness. Towards the end I can pick p some grains or bread and biscuits. I found this beer to be extremly over carbonated, perhaps to much sugar, that produced way too much foam. There was an easy three fingers worth the whole time. I think it taste good on the whole and by reading other reviews I’ll put this in the rereview list and check at a latter date

Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Faintly fruity, some esters, baked banana. Sweet, lots of banana, but (somewhat) cleaner finish. Low carbonation, but not flat; creamy texture. Oh weel. It’s supposedly a style one cannot call steam...
