Bottle:   Orangish straw, thick and hazy, large fluffy white head, nice lacing.   Grassy nose, a little dry straw/hay as well.   Nice and grassy on the tongue, straw, hay, even a touch wheaty.   Not as crisp as others, but it also feels a bit heftier.   Backside is a little astringent, but only slightly.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Tiz okay, could stand to be a little crisper and less astringent, but I bet that it would also be not as full bodied.   Seems a bigger Pilsener, at a cost.

So good to be #10 rater. 750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Batch No. 81. Opens with a cannon shot. Pours light gold with a fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma is mildly bready with some grassy hop. Med + body. The carb is very frothy. There’s a lot of grass, and the breadiness is not obnoxious. The BC may be a bit over the top, but there’s an incredible amount of flavor. The bitter is tearing at my jaw hinges. This after finishing off a Evil Twin Freudian Slip. I’m nominating this one for an Imperial Pilsner. Excellent lager (and I’m not a friend of those for the most part).

Draft at Imbibe Wine. Nose is lightly flowery and white bread type yeast. Urine yellow with a big heavy lacing white head. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet, and a hint of caramel flavorwise. Not bitter enough for a good pils.

Bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar. Pours a clear yellow color with a thick fluffy white head. A thin layer sticks, leaving some decent lacing. The aroma is pretty much what you’d expect; bready and grassy, with corn, herbs, and a little lemon. The flavor falls right in line with that. No surprises or thrills. But this is pretty solid. Nothing skunky, just simple, clean, and refreshing. The bready sweetness is countered nicely by a dry and bitter finish. Yeah, I like it.

Bottle thanks to a generous trader. Pours cloudy gold. White head. Nose/taste of pilsener malt, bready malt, yeast, lemon and light banana. Medium body. Lots of pleasant lemons and breads throughout.
