3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to the birthday boy. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is vinous, tangy, balsamic vinegar, red berry skin, funky, vanilla, toasted coconut and fruit pie. The taste is dry, tart, woody, vinous, some acidity, red berry, sherbet, Granny Smith apple, celery and wood with a drying, milky astringent finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I like elements of, but it is a bit rough and ready.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle, thin and sharp. Slightly boozy and some vinegar in it. Not very balance and pretty thin. Not a fan of this, this brewery has yet to knock it out of the park..

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is complex, red wine, oaky, lactic sour, with a bit of funk in the finish. Taste is oaky Woody with a dry tannic finish, has dry cherry, red wine and probably 70/30 lactic to funky sour. Sour maybe 5 of 10 sour. Good amount of sourness. Palate sometimes feels a bit light for how flavorful and complex the beer is, and occasionally feels like it lacks a little balance. But overall a very complex sour red/brown with some great flavors.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 c&c from Final Gravity. Pours coppery brown with a transient beige head. Aroma of tart cherry and wood. A little acidic. Med body or so. Flavor is tart cherry and wood, and itís followed by a definite oxidation flavor. Iím betting itís from a musty barrel. I like oxidation in moderation, but for those who donít itís likely to be off putting. Finishing tartly astringent. Cherry might really be other red berry. Quite nice IMHO.
