COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark, rich, and smooth, Telegraph Ravena Stout is a hearty beer that unites the deep roasted flavors of a traditional British-style cream stout with a silky mouthfeel imparted by the addition of whole grain oats to the mash. Originally brewed to celebrate the wedding of two lovers of dark, creamy beers, our interpretation of this classic style is bigger and bolder than other examples. Pair our Ravena Stout with smoky barbecued meats, an intense Mexican mole sauce, or dark chocolate desserts and get ready to swoon.

Breuklen Bier Merchants, Brooklyn tap ($6): Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, toffee, some light chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet. There is little bitterness. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy. Not to thick or light. Well done in terms of texture to say the least.

Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Heavy on the roasted malt aromas. Plenty of cocoa powder, slight coffee ground aroma, and mild earthiness. The flavor is a little bit bitter, very heavy on the roasted malt, coffee, and cocoa powder. There’s a mild sweetness, oats, and licorice.

Draft at Beer Revolution. It pours black with a tan head. The aroma has a little licorice and some green apple. The flavor is more roasted malt forward with some coffee and some more off flavors of apple. Meh.
