fordest (1778), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Aromas were somewhat tart with some grape or apple tartness. Flavors were much stronger. Wheat was evident with just a touch of wheat twang. The flavors were more acidic and fruity than the aromas. Pretty good. DaSilky1 (1625), San Diego, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Draft - Stone sourfest: Poured cloudy tangerine in color and sported but a halo of white froth. The nose was indeed wheaty with dry tangerine notes abound. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated, and i like that. The lactic sour intro has nice wheaty characteristics and nice brett notes to balance out the wheat. I also like the nice background sour boost to balance things out. What i like about this beer is the very obviousness of the fact that this is a very carefully thought out recipe and that the different components of brett, lacatobacillus, etc.work perfectly with each other...I give huge props! padrefan98 (645), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Sampled at the Second Anual Stone Sour Festival on 7/20/2008. A very nice sample of a sour ale. Some tart sweet fruits. WeeHeavySD (1865), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottle @ Stone Sour Fest number 2. Going by the name on the Stone site, not sure if it had sour in the title. Pours orangey yellow with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and tart. Taste is sweet and light and tart, ok, not amazing.
