COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This intensely sour "wild ale" recalls the earliest rustic beers crafted centuries ago before brewers had an understanding of controlled fermentation. Brewed with the addition of lemon verbena, as well as lactobacillus and brettanomyces. Telegraph Reserve Wheat is an all-together different beast from modern beer. Not for the faint of heart, this special brew is available in extremely limited quantities.

Draft. A hazy light golden beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma is slightly acidic with notes of brettanomyces and friut. The flavor is sweet with acidic notes of brettanomyces as well as notes of citrus fruit and some wheat, leading to a dry wheaty and slightly tart finish.

Yeah lacto funk. Hazy pale yellow in color. White head, mild lacing. Lemon zest all over this one. Great wild ale.

750ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a big, white, long lasting head. Aroma of lacto, lemon, wheat, hay and light barnyard. Flavor is sour lacto, tart lemon with a mild malt presence. Light body with active carbonation and a crisp, refreshing mouth feel. One of the better Berliner Weisse’s I’ve had. A bit more body and ABV than most but still very drinkable. Not much brett character but I’m sure that would come out with age.

Nice sour wheat, kind of fruity floral taste, hazy orange colour. Nice tart finish, slight vinegar but not in a bad way!

750mL thanks to noodleuser. Doesn’t say Berliner Weisse on the label anywhere but about 2 seconds after pouring this it is evident this will be a nice surprise. Pours a hazy neon straw to near green with a medium Berliner weisse head. Doughy, sharp nose with mild green apple and sugary yellow apple. Taste is mildly tart with green apple crispness. Decent amount of lactobacillus sourness with lemon tea tartness. Neutral, refreshing palate. High effervescence. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is light spicy wheat malt, sour citrus and herbal hops with barnyard notes. Flavor is malt with sourness and lemons, barnyard and hops with a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.
