tap at City Beer. Pours with a cloudy amber color, different what I expected. It has very unique aromas and flavors, a heavy dose of hops, paired with cloves, spices and fruit.
This beer needs some getting used to, I was not impressed the first time, but gave it another try and liked it much better.

Poured from tap it has an amber color in the glass with a medium head. There is some spice on the nose along with toasted notes. The first thing I notice on the taste is some mild sour notes. There is also some maltiness and a little bit of caramel. Smooth finish.

Decent beer but the rubbing alcohol essence was too much for me. It always interfered with my enjoyment of this ale. Has peachy Belgium aspect to it which is nice. As you drink it it improves. These guys make great beer.

750 thanks to JohnC. Pours a good head with carbonation. Yeasty and lots of caramel flavor. Some sugar. Banana. Sweetness is present for sure. Nice take on Belgian style if not overwhelming.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Whole Foods Sacramento. Pours reddish copper with a massive beige head and a toffee and fruit aroma. There is a robust fruity caramel malt flavor with more hop bitterness than usual for a Belgian-style ale. Leaves a yeasty taste on the palate.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber with a tall Belgianesque head that lingers and recedes to a clumpy gathering. Smells of dusty perfume with a touch of sour. Medium full body with superb carbonation. Thick and malty with defined acidity. Tastes of amber grains, coffee bean, faint cocoa, tree bark, and sour plumb with only mild sweetness and a good bittering on the finish.

Smells sweet and citric. Light orange color. Really really carbonated. Hard to taste the beer with the sharp bubbles but there’s some orange and sweet pine hiding in there.
