750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of cocoa, allspice, chilis, cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of cocoa, allspice, cinnamon and light chili with a crisp lingering bittersweet finish.

Pours a dark amber color with a finger of off-white head.  Strong spice aromas of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg.  There’s a nice little bit of banana aroma and dark fruit, too.  Maybe a little bit of coffee.  The flavor is nicely sweet with quite a bit of caramel, toffee, and spices.  Nutmeg and cinnamon seem to be the most prominent.  Some hints of banana as well as cherries.  Medium bodied and medium carbonation.

This had an average aroma. It had a great head and color. The color was a very dark brown, almost black. It tasted mostly like a stout, with hints of chocolate, has a bit of a sour bite.Very slight hint of musky spices.Pretty good beer, but for this style I would rather be drinking Fuller’s London Porter. This beer is very close to being a stout.

On draft at Stone bistro. Dark brown, a bit overly carbonated for me, but it has a nice aroma and flavor of spices with the peppers balancing it.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of JohnC. Pours a clear orangey brown with a lively and dissipating off-white head. Sweet cinnamon aroma - almost like a pumpkin ale. Solid body, lively carbonation with big bubbles. Lots of spice and brown sugar, some phenols and molasses. A little chocolate as well. Discreet bitterness. 231109
