Brewed with a generous amount of German Rye malt and an abundance of American hops, our ale embodies an earthly flavor and finishes with a hint of spice. This powerhouse of an ale excites even the most dormant of tastes buds.

Draft at O’Briens pub in Ouray. Golden with a small white head. Aroma of fruits that I just can’t place. Tastes spicy with bitter herbs, grapefruit and some tannins. Malt base was a bit bready like a Jewish Rye, Palate is medium, finishes long and dry. Overall: nice APA.

12 oz can from Whole Foods Wine and Spirits in Boulder, 11/24/15. It pours a mostly clear golden color with a thin white head that leave a coat of spotty lacework. The aroma is citrus / grapefruit hops, some rye bread spice, and a bit of pine as well. Nice hoppy flavor profile with a good rye malt backbone. Clean and decently bitter, not over the top, but well balanced and very enjoyable. Light-medium bodied, crisp and dryish on the close.

Great gold pour with a white head. Nose is grapefruit, bright hops and lots of Rye. Palate is thin, not sure where the hops went, Rye, bitter and an easy finish.

Notes from recent Denver trip: at Cibo on Boulder St. Pale gold pour, quick white head, good lace. Nose is rye malt. Bitter. Middle is sweet malt, dry rye. Finish is hoppy.

[Tap] Deep golden color with a frothy head on top. Spicy aromas of rye malt and Noble hops. Notes of pine, biscuits, crisp rye, black pepper and floral flavors. Dry and light in body. Not super flavorful, but everything is well balanced and the rye notes are pleasant in this one.

Poured from can to glass. Slightly gazy straw hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is straw, peppercorn, tangerine, grapefruit. Mouthfeel is great with a medium light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness followed by a spicy hop bitterness and a peppercorn/rye finish. Overall this is a nice brew.

"bright citrus, skunky hops and rye on the aroma, fruity and spicy flavor. goes down easy at 5.5% though the aromatics and flavor make you think you’re drinking an ipa. well done."

Smooth, some creamy characteristics. Hoppy upfront, sweet body, a little bit of kick, maybe spice at the finish.

On draught at Freshcraft. The beer is a hazy golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, malt and citrus. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, toasted malt and slight citrus. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
