On tap at Southern Sun, was told it was nitro tap. Pours a very dark brown with a finger of surprisingly coarse tan head, pillowy with good retention and lots of thin lacing. Aroma is rich roasted coffee/espresso, roasted malt, somewhat masked by the thick head. Flavor is roasted coffee up front, espresso, fading into sweet but dark chocolate tones. Nice roasted bitter finish that lingers. Soft to moderate carbonation, medium body, and smooth, slightly oily texture. An awesome, drinkable coffee beer.
