Having been to Telluride via Black Bear Road, been to Telluride Brewing before Gold for FACE DOWN BROWN...This is a PRIME example of IPA!
Piney like the San Juans, Long Lasting Bitterness like the steps & switchbacks on World Famous Black Bear Pass. Refreshing like Bridal Veil Falls...Correct me if Iím WRONG...

Appearance: golden color, clear. Aroma: pine, medical, fruity, light caramel. Palate: light body, watery thin texture, lasting bitter finish, average carbonation. Taste: sweet malt into a big bitterness; poor balance. Overall, nothing special, but drinkable.

12 oz can. Tasted on 7/22/14. Beer from Espo... Thanks. The beer has a copper/light amber color. The aroma has a medium dank scent with a slight spicy scent too. The taste is slightly more subdued than the aroma but has nice pine & citrus notes. The finish is pretty dry with a good bitterness. Overall a pretty good ipa.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks to errl for sharing this beer. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is fairly dank and also has some orange peel notes. The flavor is a bit different. I get some heavy toffee notes as well as some orange and pine. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

2.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Nice aroma... Like an IPA should have but many donít. Flowery... Definitely some Columbus. Description says 5 hops but not sure which were at the end. Nice whisky color. Unfortunately the praise ends there. Perhaps too many hop variety as it just tastes muddy and harsh and unbalanced. Finished thin with little malt flavor.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beautiful glowing orange-copper color. Plenty of hop bouquet, pine, grapefruit, perfume, and more. Really a mixed up mess of aromas, but in in a good way. I really like the low carbonation level. It makes it easier to enjoy the flavors without the interference of nasty carbonic acid. Uncompromisingly bitter, with just enough sweet carmel to offset. Love it.
