OVERALL: ok IPA, has American over-hoppynes, nice floral aromas, bit dry and too bitter.

500ml bottle from The Beerhive.
Frothy off white head, bronze body. Citrus nose with a slight smokiness. Medium carbonation. Great hoppy flavour, pine, grapefruit and some peach. Aftertaste not particularly bitter, very pleasant.
Overall an excellent IPA.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 WeissGary (174) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2013
Very nice hoppy beer on tap at Holyrood 9A. Nice light citrus aroma, quite a clean citrus taste leading on to a nice bitter and dry hop taste. Quite a clean and enjoyable drink with a nice IPA kick!

[bottle]
Slightly vinegary caramel malt with some spicy melanoidins and faint pine. Hazy copper under a few large bubbles. Flavour is an interesting, papery caramel with low bitterness and a pleasant lychee fruit flavour that is complemented by a sugary sweetness reminiscent of those red, homemade lollipops. Medium to full body, low carbonation, lingering sweetness in the finish. This bottle was probably cellared too long.

Tap at the Southampton Arms, Kentish Town - 08/05/12.
Dark slightly obscured orange.
Piney hops and background fruit on the nose.
Orange and grapefruit in the taste with sweet malts.
Medium body, fair fizz of carbonation, bitter dry finish.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Nocturne (383) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2012
Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Hazy orange with a short, gradually receding head. Fruity hops in the aroma balanced by a burnt caramel maltiness. Deep orangey, citrus taste carried by a thicker mouthfeel than anticipated. Lasting bitter finish. Impressive IPA that I would gladly try again.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DnAuK (112) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2012
Another triumph from Tempest. Sweet fruitcake aroma but the taste has more hop character. But of cherry and almond lends to the fruitcake experience but there's a fair amount of bitterness there as well. Hugely impressive.

Off keg at brewdog Manchester. Very similar to hardcore but without the bitterness at the end. Very nice indeed.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 jonblake (2) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 9, 2012 does not count
Had a half-pint on tap at the Euston Tap in London, U.K.
Aroma: Beautiful. Floral scent of hops.
Apperance: Light orange color is very nice, but not anything spectacular. Some head retention, but deceases sort of fast
Taste: This is really where this beer is a winner. A rich, floral hop flavor that has the perfect balance of bitterness. There is a heavy, slight malty sweetness that is pleasant.
Palate: Medium to full body, with a somewhat thin texture, lively carbonation
Overall just a beautiful example of an IPA for me. It truly highlighted hop characteristics without overpowering with bitterness.
