2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle, pours a slightly hazy gold with a small white head. Really struggled to get much of a nose from this beer, maybe very light fruit - melon - slight citrus and herbal notes. Sweet, light malt flavour giving way to a decent bitterish finish. Very subtle beer but has a nice balance going on. May be better accompanying food.

Bottle from Oddibins. A very subtle offering from the Scottish Border brewers. I don't get the fruity thing but the long finish makes it worthwhile. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Aldi’s Scottish Beer Festival range. Pours pale gold. Aroma has a fruity twang. Really nice nose-full of musky hops. Sweet tropical fruits. Bit vinous. Full mouthfeel. Restrained carbonation. Sweet on the taste. Bit biscuity. Bit dry. Medium bitterness that rolls on for a while. My first brew from Tempest since they changed their game up a bit. We’re off to a great start here!

On Keg at Ox 184. Rated by Mike H. Early spring sunlight though as if reflected through a light haar. Sucrose, freshly turned soil after rain. Arid palate. Zesty as an as yet undiscovered citrus fruit. Bitter notes like grit in honey. Complicated but worth it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle BBE 20 Jun 15. Well-chilled. Cloudy amber body with a small, patchy white head. Bright, hop-forward aromas of lime, kiwi, grapefruit and pineapple. Slightly resinous. Light sweetness and moderate sourness counteracted by a gentle bitterness following through. More lemon citrus to taste. Extremely well-balanced. Medium body with noticeable wheat presence in texture. Low to medium carbonation with a fairly long lasting finish. Overall a very good American Pale/Wheat Ale that excels in matching its citrus aromas and flavours with a refreshing acidity.

First rate of many tries in draft and bottle. Bottle from the hive. Labelled as extra pale ale. Clear gold, lovely white head. Fruit and wood notes with underlying grain. Taste is woody citrus with herbs. A very consistent and tasty brew from Tempest.
