Cask at The Caley. A dark golden ale with a fair beige head. Aroma is dominated by resinous, fruity hops. Specifically passionfruit, pineapple and mango. Quite sweet with some caramel also. Flavours of passionfruit and pineapple. A little bitterness too with an oily mouthfeel. Fruity hop linger. Very nice but a bit sweet for me.

Pours golden with a light white head. On the nose its pine, hops and a hint of pineapple. Refreshing taste of pine, fruit and a bit of citrus. Very nice indeed

Hazy amber, small white head. Aroma of tropical fruit and fresh cut grass. Loads of tropical fruit flavours, plenty of citrus, some pine. Moderate to strong bitter finish. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Fantastic!

Maker: Tempest Brew Co., Tweedbank, Scotland; Beer: Tempest Long White Cloud (cask at OX 128, Cowgate, Edinburgh); Style: American Pale Ale (APA); ALC.VOL.: 5.5%; "Tropical fruit, spice, vinous in hop character, refreshing white gold pale ale." [brewery note]; Colour: Straw yellow, slightly hazy, small creamy off-white head; Nose: Pineapple, mild citrus; Texture: Light body, not too watery, moderate carbonation; Taste: Ananas balanced by floral hops and pinewood, hoppy bitterness = dry. Pine becomes resinous in the middle; wee Ananas note remains. Finish is dry, bitter, hoppy and forest-y. Afyertast: bitter hoppy, lasting, with mild lemon note accompanying; Impressions: Very good medium-ABV APA with a lot of pinewood, resin, and fruity Ananas. Eminently drinkable.

Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond. Pours golden with a white head. The aroma is mild pineapple. The taste is light spice with some bitter pine notes. Some caramel undertones. Light and refreshing. A slight metallic edge and a little honey too.

My favourite beer at the moment. Pale and hazy golden colour. Subtly sweet with slight citrusy bitterness. A complex, refreshing beer that looks great in glass - what more could you want of an evening?

Pours clear golden with flat white head. Aroma of bread, citrus, light pine and fruit. Taste is light bitter with balancing fruit sweet in the finish. Light, smooth body.

330ml bottle, pours a slightly hazy gold with a small white head. Really struggled to get much of a nose from this beer, maybe very light fruit - melon - slight citrus and herbal notes. Sweet, light malt flavour giving way to a decent bitterish finish. Very subtle beer but has a nice balance going on. May be better accompanying food.

Bottle from Oddibins. A very subtle offering from the Scottish Border brewers. I don't get the fruity thing but the long finish makes it worthwhile. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Aldi’s Scottish Beer Festival range. Pours pale gold. Aroma has a fruity twang. Really nice nose-full of musky hops. Sweet tropical fruits. Bit vinous. Full mouthfeel. Restrained carbonation. Sweet on the taste. Bit biscuity. Bit dry. Medium bitterness that rolls on for a while. My first brew from Tempest since they changed their game up a bit. We’re off to a great start here!
